Matt takes the best fast food sweet teas (as decided by our Facebook supporters) and ranks them best to worst. These include Chick-Fil-A, Bojangles', Whataburger, Sonic, McDonald's, Zaxby's, and Popeyes.
#9. Re “Po Folks” chicken chain. Now that rich liberals have flooded northern Virginia, they’ve had to rename the one(?)remaining store “Rich folks” because the po folks can’t afford them any more. /sarc
Libs destroyed Starbucks by paying exorbitant prices for something they could get elsewhere at almost half the price.
They are like locust. Come into a fertile area, eat/destroy everything that is good, and leave it looking like Detroit.
"Corrupters" is more accurate. Everything they touch seems to be corrupted and defiled and dies.
Chick Fil-A
Rallys has absolutely the worst sweet tea. It tastes like super sweet and thick syrup.
I agree! It's delicious! A few months ago, I would have said Bojangles, but I think Chick Fil-A's is better. I used to make my own like my mother did until many years ago when my then teen aged twins asked me start buying it from Smithfields!
At least until Col. Pemberton’s drink came into being. Sugar and caffeine? Yep. And just a little kick besides.

For thrifty Southerners, Coca-Cola was an indulgence. Iced tea is far cheaper and is suitable for guests as well as family.
Living and growing up on the Westside of Chgo but with the family farm in Southern Illinois I split my life between the city and the country. One staple that was ALWAYS in our refrigerator was a pitcher of Sweet Tea...year round. My father’s family were from Tennessee and lived in Chgo...My Grannie always had a pitcher of sweet tea in her refrigerator, year round. Of course all my city friends made fun of this and didn’t understand but then we were referred to as hillbillies. Now after seventy years of life I’m in Tennessee and always have a gallon of sweet tea in my refrigerator. Captain D’s is the best...buy it by the gallon. Nothin better than living in the South and having a glass of sweet tea on the veranda.
Straight with lemon
Watched that one..I thought he was way too harsh on Bojangles simply because of the ice.
It IS hard to get sweet tea right...If I drink it at all its usually half sweet half unsweet...
she is NOT southern...sweet tea might have straightened her a** out...LOL
My Mom makes the best.
Ugh ... sweet tea. Gave that up years ago and now cant drink it. But I will say that the best unsweet tea Ive found at fast food joints is at Raising Canes.
Southern Illinois, eh? Were you an Egyptian?
Oh, yes. But do NOT buy pre-made tea. It is not hard to make. Boil water. Put tea bags in. Wait. 20 minutes later, put tea in pitcher. Add sugar. Serve over ice and offer sliced lemon and sprigs of mint.
ChikFilA or Chicken Express generally have the best tea.
Mickey D’s used to be good, but the last year or two they’ve gotten a lot more bitter.
Whataburger is, sadly, generally disappointing.
Sonic’s is all right.
No idea why so many people on a sweet tea thread are so proud they only drink Commie tea.
McAlister’s secret is to dump all tea after 2 hours. Brew more.
Tea (like coffee) is best when fresh.
McDonald’s is too sweet. I have to cut it about 60-40 sweet to unsweet to get a good flavor.
“Sweet tea? Yuck.”
Double “yuck”!
Sweet tea??? Yuck.
Unsweetened iced tea quenches your thirst and perks you up.
All that cloying sugar is BAD for you.
