Kind of anticlimactic. Is he goin tp do some big event to have a ceremonial start? When my family uded to drive to Florida from Pennsylvania in the 70s-80s there was a place called “South of the Border” which had a giant sombrero. That would be a fitting locale.

I actually think most of the woke dems will gravitate to him because of the hip factor. He rose tons of cash Young, Kennedyesque looks.

All of you are forgetting something. Robert O'Rourke reflects the young people who like him. Good looks, poor education, criminal activity in the past, drug use, alcohol use, no real agenda or goals in life, wants to get along in life by deceiving people in to THINKING he's doing something worthwhile, acting cool, etc., ad nauseum. He is nothing but a facade for the evils for which he stands to hide behind. MANY young people now are like that. We are not fooled. But, they are. You're going to be shocked by how many young people will support him BECAUSE he reflects their lack of values.

Maybe he would have been more formidable thirty years ago when Gary Hart (played now in the movies by Hugh Jackman) was running.
The country's changed too much.
It's still possible that a White man could get the Democratic nomination, but Beto doesn't quite have what it takes.
