Insidious would be an understatement. Sort of like internet explorer. I never use it, yet when I do my daily computer clean up, there is always stuff there because somehow, someway most stuff goes through there. I know there are some wizards out there that can remain pretty invisible but for others, this may help.

P.S. Mr. Weinberg started duckduckgo. My first choice followed by startpage.

I’m on and off a computer all day most days and have been a long time but the inter technical workings, software or hardware, of the damn thing I have never have GOT!

I know though that in civil litigation which I’ve been consistently involved in for almost 50 years there’s a phenomena called “document/data” OVERLOAD.

See, over in the corner there are sometimes 50 boxes FULL of files produced by what’s called “discovery”. Guess What? Years go by and the half dozen or so attorneys involved, to say nothing of the clients, have not seen 10% of the documents “hands on” or “eyes on” and NEVER Will. And, the judge, Laugh out REAL LOUD will rarely read more than one sentence without it having been stuck in front of his face and highlighted to the max.

So, when Google has 75 million bits of documents about this or 4 trillion of that, what practical good does it do them?

My question is this why is google worth so much money?

why do they have the ability to pay hundreds of thousands of people just to sit around looking at the computer all day Spying on the activities of other people?

How is that profitable?

And if the answer is advertising money I think they’re nuts

The government lets this happen because the government wants it done and they think its illegal for the government to do it. So the CIA and FBI are happy to let Facebook and Google flaunt our laws. Then our government can ask the two software giants to provide all the information they are not allowed to collect themselves. This is why Google is not allowed in China. Of course the Google phone operating system and the Apple phone operating system do the same thing. As well as Google Maps. So you are being tracked as long as you have a cell phone on your person. Even if you put the phone in airplane mode, and turn off the cell phone its tracking where it goes and sending Google the information as soon as you turn it back on.

A few years ago I tried everything I could think of, to remove, prevent, or thwart google tracking. Gave up eventually, nothing worked.

I turned on the location tracking on my Android phone (if they are going to track me I’d might as well know what they know). The other day I got an email detailing all the places I’d been to. It was eye opening.

What does Google know about me?

If you try Google Photos you will quickly find out that the facial recognition software built into this "free" app would have been envied by the CIA only a couple of years ago.

Google and fakebook were both built by the CIA to spy on We The People.

Their mission is to know as much as possible about you. I recall this being openly stated years and years ago.

Start first by moving to Protonmail for all communications.
Google and FB have the ability to read personal email and WhatsApp communications.
Yahoo mail is practically a virus.
