My question is this why is google worth so much money?
why do they have the ability to pay hundreds of thousands of people just to sit around looking at the computer all day Spying on the activities of other people?
How is that profitable?
And if the answer is advertising money I think they’re nuts

They don’t have people doing it. They have software that goes through it. You’re just a collection of data points that helps advertisers target their best possible audience. And that’s worth a lot. The hardest part of advertising is aiming it at the right people. Advertising your Mexican restaurant to people who can’t eat spicy foods does no good, and Google figures that out.
