If you try Google Photos you will quickly find out that the facial recognition software built into this "free" app would have been envied by the CIA only a couple of years ago.
Betcha the CIA had some seed money involved with Google and still is reaping the benefits. They don’t have to break the law as much to keep taps on the public, we voluntarily tell them where we are and what we are doing on our phones.
About the only thing I have left google I “think” is gmail for a private account. I have used Duckduckgo as a search engine for many years.
