A private school teacher is being investigated, accused of holding “racist lessons” involving a mock “slave auction” where white students were urged to bid on their black classmates.
The teacher reportedly acted as the auctioneer in the Bronxville New York school’s Year 5 social studies class exercise where three black “slaves” were auctioned off as part of a US history lesson.
A mother of one of the students “auctioned” off at The Chapel School said her African-American son told her the teacher, Rebecca Antinozzi, placed “imaginary chains on our necks, our wrists and shackles on our ankles”.
“I was in shock,” Vernex Harding told The New York Post on Friday.
The mother said the alleged mock slave auction happened last Tuesday at the private school, where annual tuition costs up to AU$20,000.
“He was humiliated,” Ms Harding said of her child’s involvement.
“My son doesn’t want to see her again and I don’t want to see her again.”
In an email to parents, the principal called the lesson “racially insensitive and hurtful”.
New York Attorney General Letitia James confirmed to the Post the teacher was being investigated.

Obviously the teacher is White, or this would have been a “lesson in the evils that Whites have done over the centuries.”
Anything a White does or says, or doesn’t do or doesn’t say, can be called racist.
Maybe, the teacher should have done a 21st century re-enactment of Republicans trying to drag slaves off the Democrat plantation. Children could role play characters like Trump, Obama, Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Starr Parker, Margaret Sanger, etc.

The stupidity of some teachers never fails to amaze me.
It’s OK. All the wyeboys were of Irish descent.
Teacher wanted to shame the wyepepo and direct the narrative to reparations for aboriginies.

I don’t have a problem with putting oneself in the shoes of the past when it comes to studying history... Its important that all people understand history... Because damned if few today even have the most basic understanding.
If however she purely split up black students to be the slaves, and whites purely to be the buyers, She really wasn’t helping to expand the minds of her students.... If she randomly picked a few students to be the slaves, and the others to be the buyers, acted this out and discussed it, then I think it could be a good lesson for all involved...
Of course its not PC in the least, because political correctness is simply thought control by another name.. However, if she purely split the kids up by race, to ‘reenact” a slave auction, this was beyond stupid.
Best bet in situations like this would be to pick kids who tend to be leaders/respected by their peers, and let them play the role of the oppressed, and then explain how it made them feel after, because the other students would be more likely to listen and absorb.
Of course I don’t know the age of the kids, or the actual facts, because I trust the media to get things like this RIGHT when they report them, in full context to be near to zero.
They should have just called it a “Mock NFL Draft”.
