President Trump on Monday became the first president since Bill Clinton to play host to a college football team that won a title in the NCAA’s secondary division when he feted the North Dakota State Bison at the White House.
Trump surprised the squad with a spread of fast-food sandwiches in the East Room, posed for pictures and accepted a jersey emblazoned with the number 45.
The affair has become a presidential tradition since Ronald Reagan began hosting championship teams in the 1980s. But while Trump went out of his way to shine a light on a team that toils outside the big-money Division I programs, his personal attention to the Bison stood in contrast to the cold shoulder the White House has given to female athletes.
Not a single women’s championship team has made a solo visit to the White House under Trump, although several women’s teams participated in an event in 2017 during which Trump celebrated numerous men’s and women’s college champions in nonrevenue sports.
The past two WNBA champions, the Minnesota Lynx in 2017 and the Seattle Storm in 2018, were not invited.
Nor was the Notre Dame women’s basketball team, which won the NCAA title in 2018 before a crowd of 19,599 — more than the number, 17,802, who attended North Dakota’s football title game in January.
“Where are the women’s teams?” USA Today columnist Christine Brennan, who has written extensively about women’s sports, said in an interview. “To me this is just a huge step backward and shows he’s completely out of touch with how the nation views women’s sports.”

Women ncaa sports only exist because the government forces schools to have them, and, they are financed by mens football.
Besides, womens teams have been taken over by the freak males pretending to be female. We don’t need freaks in the WH.

I’ve always heard the snarky statement that “nobody cares about woman’s sports.” To some degree, that’s true. Go to most major sports sites, then look at the search headers on that page and just try to find any women’s sports listed. On most, you cant.
Go to most women's sporting events and try to find any people in the stands. Men will constantly sell out huge football stadiums, baseball stadiums, basketball arenas, hockey arenas... and this is seen at both the pro and college levels, and virtually every venue no matter how good or bad the team is. For example, Indiana has one of the worst major college football programs in history... IU has won 2 conference titles in 132 years... and yet they still average 40k at every game, even with a recent drop in attendance last year.
Now name just two female sports where regular season games are constantly sold out at the pro or college level. Name a single women's college sport that has constant sellout crowds at the vast majority of Division I university games. Name a single women's team that averages 40k at every game all year long, to match even a horrible college football team.
Even down at the high school level, look at the difference between the SAME STUDENT BODY attending the boys vs the girls basketball games. The difference is huge. The interest level of spectators, including one's peers, is almost always vastly favoring the male version of the same sports, even among fans that are 50-50 male and female.
Didn’t the women’s Oklahoma national champion softball team visit the White House, and make a prayer circle with Trump? Seems like I remember they asked Trump to join them in prayer, and Trump gladly joined with them and thanked them.
I dont remember obama hosting womens sports teams. Or the libtard gynocentric press being faux offended that he didn’t.
The wnba teams would go if Ivanka was guaranteed to be there.
They only want to be invited so they can refuse to go.
