Don’t go to stores with “serial shoplifters” after 9 am - you’ll never meet them. 24 hour stores, while a pain in the rear for law enforcement, are a blessing for those of us who only want to shop with normals.
Keep a close watch on your children in public and carry something to fight. I will from now on.
And thank God you and your daughter are OK!
Knowing some of your backround, I’d say the guy is lucky to be alive.
Always be ready to fight.
oh always! I took my stepgrand out for shoes. Guy gets waay too close to her (behind her) looking at the same shoes. I ran his ass off pronto.
I was loud and called him out, told him to step back immediately. He left the aisle. I don’t have any pepper spray anymore. Perhaps it is time to refresh.
Yes, another reminder that evil exists and is closer than we think.
The part of the Lords Prayer, “deliver us from evil” is starting to become real, not just some words... ..
Did you ask Target to check their surveillance videos for footage of him grabbing your daughter?
If he did that he will try again. Someone should watch him or maybe report him to the cops.
Around 40 years ago, I was in a Best Products store in Virginia Beach. A little girl came up to me and told me she was lost. I took her hand and led her to the counter only 15 feet away and told the sales girl that she was lost.
As we walked that short distance, I suddenly realized I had made a mistake. I should have asked another shopper, preferably a lady to stay with her while I told the store about the girl.
Everything went well and I am sure I could have simply explained but still I had that feeling.
I would call that officers superior or station and jack that asshat up.
This is why you should CC. You never know why kind of vermin are out and about.
If he touched my daughter in public he would be held at gunpoint for the police and highly encouraged not to seek any other alternatives that could prove to be detrimental to his continued health and wellbeing in this world.

For a younger child, consider a pin-activated alarm. They're much easier to use than a whistle. Pull the pin, and you get a very loud alarm. There are many good ones on Amazon. Here's an example:

One of my daghters was followed around a store by a lesbian woman in men’s clothes and the woman kept telling her how pretty she was...
My daughter who was 11 came and told me, and I cornered the woman and told her to get lost.
IF this happened today, I would have called the police.
> A store employee saw part of this incident and told me that they knew the guy as a serial shoplifter... <
Then the store should have trespassed him long ago.
And it’s important that you posted this story. We all need an occasional reminder of the dangers that are out there.
And thank God your child is safe. For her own peace of mind, get her some sort of defensive tool, maybe an alarm like I mentioned in post #26.

I had a similar situation in a GameStop store in SC. While we were in the checkout line, two men, one about 20ish and the other about 50ish started trying to chat up my 8 year old daughter- while I was standing right behind her. They made their purchase first and turned to leave the store. while my daughter made her purchase I looked to see where they were and they had not left the store. What they had done was the older one went behind a display on the left and the younger one went behind one on the right. While my daughter was paying for her item, I quietly opened my purse, took my pistol out of the holster, and put it in my hand. When we turned to leave, my daughter saw them and froze- I put my left hand on her shoulder and told her to start walking, she didn’t know I had my gun in my right hand. As we started walking out of the store the old man stepped closer to our aisle and got this weird grin on his face- until he saw the barrel of my gun pointed at him. When he saw it, he made some kind of grunting sound and made a crossing motion with his arms in the direction of the other one. We walked out of that store- I kept my gun by my side until we got out of the mall. We got into my car and I locked the doors. My daughter was in tears when we got into the car- she said she was so scared she didn’t know what to do. She said she was thankful I was with her because she felt like they would have tried to hurt her. She didn’t know I had my gun out until she saw me put it back into the holster- I told her she was right- they probably would have tried to hurt her but I wasn’t going to let them. I called the police to tell them what happened; I thought I may have overreacted a bit. But the lady who answered the phone told me I had probably just save my daughter from an abduction! I gave them a description of the two men and a squad car came out to look for them. After that, I called my husband and thanked him for my birthday present- which was a pistol and he paid for my CCP. Now where ever we go, my daughter asks if I have my “little friend” with me, which I always do.
The store has video of him shoplifting so they have video of him trying to snatch your daughter. Call the police again and ask to speak with the rude officer’s superior. Too scary to think next time the freak will grab a child. And with these guys, there will be a next time and the next and the next.

Amen, brother. I don't carry because I'm looking for a fight. Quite the contrary, in fact ... Sometimes, fight come looking for you.
