Ol Sanger was right..some shouldn’t reproduce...Sad....
I’ve no longer have the whole “How could anyone do this?” reaction. Some people are just wired differently when it comes to the ability to feel empathy. Their actions defy rational moral analysis. If I understood what someone was thinking in this case I would worry about myself.
She is going to get the hell beat out of her in prison.
That would be true justice.
Idiot didnt know that a fall from the second floor wont kill you. I think it would be politically incorrect to inquire about her immigration status.
Some additional details...
An infant girl died Tuesday in Upland after being found unresponsive at an apartment complex, where police said her mother threw her toddler brother from a second-story balcony and then jumped herself.
The girl was found not breathing and unresponsive when officers entered the apartment, Upland police Capt. Marcelo Blanco said at the scene Tuesday afternoon. She suffered a skull fracture and other possible injuries.
Police said Tierra Rose Ortega, 24, jumped off the landing. She was arrested after being released from a hospital on Tuesday evening.
Ortega was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of assault on a child younger than eight, attempted murder and murder, according to court records. Court records state Ortega is ineligible for bail
Sympathy for a mom stretched to limits with baby care? Or triggered by crime & ethnicity? So few details.
What I now write only indirectly relates to this story:
The sad futility of that mother’s decision to jump from a 2nd story window made me think of an old black and white era movie from 1967. “Up The Down Staircase” starring Sandy Dennis and Jean Stapleton. This was about the experiences of a first year High School teacher in a school with apathetic faculty and (as they called it then) delinquent students.
At one point, a frustrated student (shy and overweight) decided that nobody cared what happened to her, so she jumped (more like scooted) out of a second story window at the school. After the initial hubbub with the ambulance had faded off, everybody just went back to their usual afternoon routines.
I was in an English class a year or two later where we had to read this short novel and report on it.
The teacher felt this incident sort of confirms the girl’s feeling that ‘nobody cared’about the girl that much.
She also said each of us has to first care about ourselves to make it matter. You are better off caring, accepting, even loving what you are now. That self confidence is often seen by others as ‘self respect’. When you have respect and love for yourself as you are now, other are more inclined to give you respect, friendship and at times, even love.
Why didn’t the Police just take her up to the Roof and have her try again??
Why arrest? Just say it’s delayed abortion and all is ok.
She looks too good in that picture.
Pity the son who has to live with the trauma of seeing this and having it done to him. He’ll be scarred for life.
Is it unfair to stereotype when this horror occurs so often and stereotype and reality become inseparable?
What difference does it make: abortion or throw baby from the balcony?
To quote President Trump, “they are not sending their best.”

When do we find out she is an illegal alien, if ever?
No need to contact Laz. The sidewalk already hit that.
