A Russian cargo ship captain may have been slightly drunk when he veered off course and crashed into a busy South Korean bridge this afternoon.
The 6,000 ton Seagrand collided with the side of the Gwangan Bridge in Busan, in the southeast of the country, at around 4.20pm local time.
The ship then attempted to turn and vacate the area before it was detained by the Korea Coast Guard (KCG).

Just watch a single Russian dashcam video, and this will make sense.

Yeah. Not sure what it is with the Russians. When Yeltsin was President, they had a missile warning happen. He was on his lips and decided not to launch his missiles.
Russia.

What does “slightly drunk” mean in Russian?
To: C19fan
One of my last entrances into Busan harbor was one of my more memorable ones. The weather was too bad for the pilots to come out to my ship, high seas & high winds and strong current. The officer on the radar got excited that the ship was pointed right at the breakwater. I explained “crabbing” to him as we came in hot a little bit sideways.

6000 tons is not “giant” for a merchant ship.
Its quite small actually. As the photos show.
