Agreed Kenneth Branagh has long been a favorite of mine. His ex-wife Emma Thompson has won.
Every year I say Julia Roberts won an Oscar and Glen Close hasnt?! Makes no sense.
And HOW could it be Close and Malkovich did not win for Dangerous Liasons alone?!
Brilliant performance. “Sentimental value? I have heard of this...”
“I know lots of girls named Tatiana.”
“She was pregnant.”
“In that case, no, I’ve never heard of her.”
etc.!
American actor Michael Keaton has been honored with numerous awards and nominations for his work in film and television. Keaton’s lead performance in Birdman or earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy and nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award, British Academy Film Award, and
Academy Award for Best Actor.
He previously received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his performance in Live from Baghdad and a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for The Company.
Good policy.
Watch Branaghs rendition of O, what a rogue and peasant slave am I (Hamlet, Act 2, scene 2). Absolutely amazing.
Branagh was chilling as Heydrich in “Conspiracy”.
True, but there is a special place in my heart for Groundhog Day and the change that Murray went through.
Not Oscar material, I know, but it is the only Murray film I let my children see.
I have very strong political opinions. But unless someone is a complete fecal tube about it, I try not to let such differences affect cordial relations.
Steve Buscemi
That’s wise.
It’s amazing how nice and likable some leftists I worked with were.
Very kind to me when I got sick and very generous.
But WOW did we argue. Then we’d go have drinks together.
That was 15 years ago.
I might be a little more hard edged now.
I wonder if the movie “unplanned” won ann Oscar, saw the person on FOX this morning: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=10&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjZ9veEutfgAhUknOAKHTO-CIkQwqsBMAl6BAgGEAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.foxnews.com%2Fv%2F6006608892001%2F&usg=AOvVaw0OVlaClnzEh8eOh9iAIp04
what ever happened to jack nicholson
Actually it was a much better country when you COULD argue with Leftists and still be friends with them.
Today they generally brand you as Public Enemy #1 if you disagree with them.
“Why can’t we be friends....Why can’t we be friends....Why can’t we be friends....Why can’t we be friends....”

I heard Jack is starting to suffer from dementia, or somesuch, he doesn’t make a lot of public appearances anymore, save for perhaps Lakers games.
It is even much more different than 15 years ago.
Folks would tell me they respected me for being so outnumbered and not wavering.
Some would whisper in dark corners how they agreed with me on some thing :)
Our educational institutions are making each generation more hard line.
The Hitler youth will have nothing over them soon.
Sounds like a guy who still wanted to get movie roles, despite his personal beliefs.
thanx
