That's what it's going to be. Dudes who couldn't cut it with the NBA are going to show up with beards and tats and wearing wigs. And thanks to the growing concept of "gender fluidity" they'll only need to self-identify as women on the court. After the game, they can go back to being dudes, hitting the clubs, tapping ass, whatever. It'll be a big joke.

Dont’ remember the source, and that ratio is about 8 months old, and it’s a figure that’s for the USA, I don’t know about Thailand, Brasil, etc.

Title IX is the culprit. A school has 32 Division 1 scholarships they have to have 32 womens scholarship. But, no one wants to see any women compete in anything other than beach volleyball. So the women don’t have to do squat to get a full ride. Track is the only serious competitive sport for women. Wait until the high school guys figure out that they can get a full ride scholarship for 99% of the stuff the women are now getting.
The remarkable thing is how quiet the parents and opposing coaches are. I know it's Connecticut, but the intimidation and silencing is more disturbing than the mere fact of two boys running in the girls event. If it were me, I sure wouldn't be keeping my mouth shut.
I wonder if the racial angle is a major factor in this particular situation. I have no information one way or the other about this, but it does stand out. Two teenage African American boys are proud of putting the white girls in their place. And it's high school; they are getting peer approval for this. It may be telling that there aren't any white trans athletes involved here.
The Texas wrestler who gets a lot of press is white, but if memory services, she is a biological girl wrestling against girls, as required by Texas law. The issue in her case is that she is transitioning to male and is doing drug therapy -- steroids, testosterone, whatever. These give her a major advantage. Their use is strictly banned for the girls against whom she is competing. To her credit, she wants to wrestle against the boys; she is trapped by a correct and proper Texas law, but it is not her preference to take unfair advantage of the other girls.
The change will have to come from parents.
No one watches the men either in sports other than football, basketball and hockey. That's a slight overstatement; the other sports have a scatting of fans at the high school and college level, but not many. A powerhouse program may attract a few more, who show up to watch the national team and Olympic caliber athletes perform, or for the excitement of a championship race. But outside the big three, most college athletes, male and female alike, play for a scattering of family, close friends, boyfriends and girlfriends, and not much more.

Yep. The problem is calling these people actual women. They aren’t, no matter how they “identify”. If we are to indulge this insanity, which we shouldn’t, they should compete as trans women, not women. Compete with each other.
