Don't watch the Oscars tonight.
The song “Someone Saved My Life Tonight” was about his gay friend Long John Baldry talking him out of marrying a woman.
Why he married that woman in the 80s, I’ll never know.
Elton John and Bernie Taupin made a heck of a team. John the music and Taupin the lyrics.
I saw Elton Jonn in concert many years ago, tremendously talented but a very strange individual.
I gave it a C. I am watching Polar, I’ll give it an A-. I am only about halfway through it though.
I just remembered when he performed in a duck costume.
Prediction: Roma, Rami Malek, Glenn Close, Mahershala Ali, Regina King. Picture, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, and Supporting Actress.
Looks like a YouTube night. Any 30’s B/W mystery will do. I may even go for a Bob Steel western.
Until tonight, I could say the same.
But I was curious to see Queen perform, so I watched them. Brian May and Roger Taylor still have it. Adam Lambert is very talented but hes no Freddie. But, who is?
After their performance, I couldnt turn the TV fast enough.
Nope. You're not alone. Me neither.
Can't stand these shows where they pat themselves on the back for creating nothing but garbage.....
My tip: do anything else.
Watching is a waste of time, if you choose to do so I feel sorry for your remaining brain cells
JMHO
I go to the DailyMail web site to see the gowns on the red carpet, which is my only point of interest. Now that Joan Rivers is gone, I have no use for any of the commentary, before or during, nor the leftwing films being highlighted.
Once upon a time they were fun to watch. When I was a kid growing up in the 1960’s I saw a lot of movies and loved watching the Oscars because I had seen most of the movies and stars nominated, used to be hosted by people like Bob Hope, David Niven, Burt Lancaster and others and they had real stars you liked and cared about.
Today none of that really exists anymore and I could care less about most of these people. Hollywood seems to have become a pretty vile place and what passes for movies these days are just not very good.
Never watched the Oscars or any other awards show.
I never have....and I’m old.
That the film on Netflix? I watched that about 2 weeks ago and I liked it.
I haven’t watched that crap since the mid-70s.
I saw that and about gagged. It’s the Freak show, Hollywood’s version of Halloween.
Hi CrimsonTidegirl!
Well, if you only watched Queen and then turned the TV off then I guess it’s okay. :>)
Don’t you wish it had been Deep Purple MKII...
