Frampton isn't a Trump fan but at least he became an American citizen after the 9/11 attacks. When I saw him on the Frampton Comes Alive anniversary tour, he still put on a great show.

Frampton married a gal from Cincinnati and moved there during his marriage.
I still recall he called into a sports talk show on 700WLW and seemed to be quite conversant on the topics.

Yeah, I saw him a few years ago. He just had to spew his political opinions. Turned me off. It just irks me that these singers/artists think we really care about their opinions on politics. WE DON’T!! But all in all, it was a great show.

The reason behind a “farewell tour” is that the 68-year old rocker was recently diagnosed with the inflammatory muscle disease Inclusion-Body Myositis (IBM). Frampton doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be able to play the guitar.

Peter Frampton has been found to have AVM disease and at the moment is able to still play guitar. He is taking a new experimental drug and is getting ready to go on a fare well tour. If the AVM gets worse, the result will be decreased blood flow of oxygen to the brain. It is unknown if P. Frampton will be able to be fully functional for the entire tour.

Back in 1997 I went to a charity show featuring mostly country music stars at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville but Peter was one of the performers. I hadn’t heard of him in decades so it was a bit of a shock. He no longer had his long hair by then.

I saw caught a show in his “Frampton Comes Alive” tour when I was stationed in Germany. It was a great show! Gary Wright of “Dream Weaver” fame opened up the show.

The tour will feature special guest JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENINGBusy guy. Bonham will be touring with Sammy Hagar and then switch over to Frampton.
Sammy Hagar And The Circle have announced dates for a spring tour of the U.S. in support of their forthcoming debut album, "Space Between."
The band will kick off a 23-city trek in Reno, NV on April 19, with shows currently scheduled to June 7 in Chicago, IL (see dates below); they'll be joined on select dates by Vince Neil and Night Ranger.

Saw Frampton's Camel at the Spectrum in Philly in 1973. There was a walkway set up that went out over the crowd. During one song a brother jumped up on the end of the walkway and did his dance. He had some moves. Frampton appeared to love it. The crowd was going wild. It was a moment.

Shame that Steve Marriott passed away before he and Frampton could have rekindled Humble Pie, they had recorded a few songs together, and there was a lot of rumblings that a full-scale reunion was in the works.

There's a kind of funny video of a guy named Rick Beato who's a music producer who makes videos on youtube about making and analyzing music (really good stuff if you care about that) and he analyzed one of Frampton's songs from "Frampton Comes Alive". He waxed poetic about how Frampton would transition from aeolian mode into dorian, mix in phrases from various jazz masters, etc.
Frampton saw it and invited him to his studio so they did an interview. When they guy asked him about all that technical stuff Frampton basically said something to the effect "I did all that? I never knew. Well, the jazz stuff I did, I was really a jazz fan growing up but all that music theory stuff I never even learned. I just played what sounded good."
Cool!

PETER FRAMPTON Announces Farewell Tour; JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING To Open
I still remember how big "Frampton Comes Alive" was that one summer back when I was a kid, and I still remember riding my bike down to Tower Records to buy that LP. Frampton's farewell tour for me happened a few months afterward - I'm still burned out in his music and I doubt that will change in my lifetime.

Easy to forget that for that period from 76-78, Frampton may have been the biggest star on the planet.
He faded just as quickly as he rose, and frankly, he’s fortunate to have stayed somewhat grounded through it all.

Peter Framptom certainly improved his craft with age. The guy can put down some mad licks. Always enjoy watching and listening to him. Great career.
