Legendary guitarist Peter Frampton has confirmed "Peter Frampton Finale - The Farewell Tour" presented by SiriusXM. The primarily U.S. tour, produced by Live Nation, will begin on June 18 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and continue throughout the summer and fall. The tour will feature special guest JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING, as well as Julian Frampton on the west coast stops, with additional surprise guests to appear on select dates.

Frampton married a gal from Cincinnati and moved there during his marriage.
I still recall he called into a sports talk show on 700WLW and seemed to be quite conversant on the topics.
“I want you to show me the way, yeah!”
Yeah, I saw him a few years ago. He just had to spew his political opinions. Turned me off. It just irks me that these singers/artists think we really care about their opinions on politics. WE DON’T!! But all in all, it was a great show.
“Frampton married a gal from Cincinnati and moved there during his marriage”
Now divorced, there have been a few. I believe he is in Memphis now. He has a real pretty daughter trying to get an acting career going.
I heard Peter was very big in the Cincinnati community, doing things with the Aronoff Center. However I read he and his wife divorced and he moved to Nashville. At least Frampton took the oath unlike Lars from Metallica who is STILL a citizen of Denmark after all these years.
My late wife managed a music store. Somehow Frampton learned (through a record producer in Atlanta) that she was one of Frampton’s biggest fans. It was in the early nineties. I remember her coming home from work excited. Frampton called and spoke with her for over fifteen minutes. It was a friendly down to earth chat and he thanked her for her support.
I played “Not Forgotten” at her funeral service.

Does he discuss Trump during his shows?
The reason behind a “farewell tour” is that the 68-year old rocker was recently diagnosed with the inflammatory muscle disease Inclusion-Body Myositis (IBM). Frampton doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be able to play the guitar.
Why is he retiring? Is he ill?
By contrast, former Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes became an American citizen and during his shows he is VERY PROUD of his new citizenship. He doesn't bash Trump and is very pro-America. He also puts on an awesome show, and he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I'd recommend checking out Glenn's live show.
Yes. He has a degenerative muscle disease.
I met both Glen Hughes and Peter Frampton this January at NAMM in Anaheim.Framptom was a jerk. Glen Hughes was amazing, even knew me by name and knew I was at his show at Sony Hall in NYC last year. Hughes monitors his social media feeds and is in touch with his fans. Only reason to see Frampton is Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience. Bonham’s guitar player, Mr.Jimmy(aka Jimmy Sakauri)is the real deal.
Peter Frampton has been found to have AVM disease and at the moment is able to still play guitar. He is taking a new experimental drug and is getting ready to go on a fare well tour. If the AVM gets worse, the result will be decreased blood flow of oxygen to the brain. It is unknown if P. Frampton will be able to be fully functional for the entire tour.
Back in 1997 I went to a charity show featuring mostly country music stars at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville but Peter was one of the performers. I hadn’t heard of him in decades so it was a bit of a shock. He no longer had his long hair by then.
Or is it IBM disease. Ooops, never mind.
I saw caught a show in his “Frampton Comes Alive” tour when I was stationed in Germany. It was a great show! Gary Wright of “Dream Weaver” fame opened up the show.
I saw Gray Wright, Leon Russell and Grand Funk at the Fabulous Forum in 1975 - still after all these years, probably the best show Ive ever been to
He was in great shape, his voice was sonic, and his backing band was tight. Glenn mentioned several times that he became an American citizen and the crowd went NUTS (and this was in a deep blue part of the country, but I've found many hard rock/punk/metal fans are Deplorable). He spoke of how proud he was of "his" country and "our" country without bashing Trump or anyone.
When he did Highway Star and Burn for encores, and we all crowded around the stage, I flashed an American Flag on my iPhone at him with a big thumbs up and he smiled and acknowledged me. He is the Real Deal.
Busy guy. Bonham will be touring with Sammy Hagar and then switch over to Frampton.
Sammy Hagar And The Circle have announced dates for a spring tour of the U.S. in support of their forthcoming debut album, "Space Between."
The band will kick off a 23-city trek in Reno, NV on April 19, with shows currently scheduled to June 7 in Chicago, IL (see dates below); they'll be joined on select dates by Vince Neil and Night Ranger.
