Jussie Smollett, upset by his salary and seeking publicity, staged a fake assault on himself a week after writing himself a threatening letter, the Chicago police said Thursday after the “Empire” actor surrendered to face a felony charge of filing a false police report.
The Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson, visibly angry at a morning news conference, said Mr. Smollett had taken advantage of the pain and anger of racism, draining resources that could have been used to investigate other crimes for which people were actually suffering.
“I just wish that the families of gun violence in this city got this much attention,” he said, referring to the news media.

Simple question. Why does a racial assault on the streets late at night, whether hoax or real, get you a salary increase? He obviously wanted attention and more money and fame, but I still think this was a left wing racist gambit. They are trying to cover that up now with the profit motive.

Police always need to make the point that these BS hoaxes take their time away from actual crime, and actual victims.
Another reason such hoaxes should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, with a hate crime charge added.

The Daily Mail on Saturday reported that the culprit behind offensive graffiti popping up around campus at Groucher College in Maryland had been identified. The scrawlings depicted Swastikas and also spelled out the N-word and the names of four black students — including the perpetrator.
This graffiti, first seen in November, had led to protests, designated safe spaces, and a demand by students that incoming freshmen and transfers be required to take a “cultural competency” course, according to the Daily Mail’s report. But the perpetrator, Maryland police said, was identified after an investigation as Fynn Ajani Arthur, a 21-year-old lacrosse player who is black and had again tried to make himself the victim of his own hate crime.

What does make sense is the timeing (1/29/19)
to coincide with the Presidential aspirations of both Kamela and Booker
announcement of a Federal law to outlaw "lynching".
In other words, it had NOTHING to do with salary,
it was all about furthering the aggrieved culture of blacks and reparations
and political aspirations of Democratic hopefuls.
Salary is just a smoke-screen of an actor turned social justice warrior through his,
and his mother's political and social justice connections (Angela Davis, BLA, etc.).
Notice that Kamela met with Sharpton right after the investigation concluded that rather than a victim,
Jussie was found to be the perpetrator and conspirator.
This was criminal activities motivated for social and political gain.
This makes sense, especially with the timing of the originally scheduled activity with a noose before 1/29/19.
What would have happened if two Innocent White Guys were arrested and charged for this fake Crime?
Would poor little Jussie have let innocent People get framed for his fantasy?
