Schlichter lives in Manhattan Beach, California....a very liberal area in a liberal state. He should not generalize about New England, especially northern New England, considering the leanings of his own area of the country.

He’s mistaking liberals for leftists. Liberals are weak Gullibles who don’t see that their enemy is the Left. They’re good people who think they support freedom. They think conservatives are the enemies of freedom, so they vote in leftists.

Agreed but it’ll have to be more than New England. We can’t get rid of enough of the Gaia worshiping socialist authoritarians if we only kick out New England. That whole strip from DC to Boston has to go. Throw in the Left coast, Miami and Chicago. We may have to part company with Colorado and New Mexico too but that’s like sacrificing a couple toes to stop the spread of gangrene. Painful but necessary. As for getting rid of New England and the Left Coasters - that will be a pure relief. What was it King Edward I said “A man does good business when he rids himself of a turd.”

Agree with the sentiment, but I can’t see it working.
Because we used to have a very similar arrangement. Once upon a time, the states were basically sovereign and could pretty much go their own way, with a limited Federal government only acting in the collective interest and mediator between the states.
If we had kept that arrangement, the Leftist could have had any number of states with which to experiment and prove their kooky ideas. We could have self-segregated and lived in peace.
But that’s not what we have because living in peace isn’t their goal. Power is their goal. A mutual separation wouldn’t give them the power they want, so they will never agree.
It is past time. If the Commie Left isn’t Liberal[s], they will do until one gets here.
