I’ve seen a couple trailers. It looks super lame.

This movie is going to bomb, in terms of Marvel movies. Oh, it'll make about $200-$300 million in global sales, but that's a bomb when speaking of Marvel movies.
She's a relatively new superhero, I've never heard of her since they were talking about this and I'm a huge comic book fan.

Maybe I’m older than I thought, but when I was a kid, Captain Marvel was a man.

This woman is a hoot. She is so full of herself and she can't contain her "I'm just so awesome" statements, coupled with "I don't need no white men around and neither should any other strong woman!" statements. Marvel decided they wanted a woman to be the center of their universe and this was going to be her, supposedly she's more powerful than anyone else and absolutely perfect in every way. In other words, boring as hell. And an outspoken SJW to boot.
Oh well, the Marvel movies were fun while they lasted.

I’m definitely going to that movie. Wonder Woman was in the DC Universe. CM is Marvel.
Women used to get star billing in most movies even though they weren’t really the protagonists.
I don’t know why some people are hung up about this movie. I’m guessing they think that Captain Marvel will be some sort of social justice warrior. I don’t think that will be the case, but I’m willing to give it a shot.
I’ve seen all the MCU movies except Ant-Man and the Wasp and Black Panther, both of which I will see eventually. Most that I saw were excellent, the worst were good. Solid good clean fun with lots of action, humor and great characters.
No doubt ifinnegan will show up at some point and tell us he/she doesn’t care, or wants to save the world from cultural rot. I understand that some people don’t get the appeal of these movies.
But they make a shitload of money.

Wonder Woman is DC Comics, not Marvel.

She's an actress playing a comic book character in a comic book movie. And this is somehow empowering? Maybe she should move to Wakanda.

"The very nature of this film means that I'm having conversations that I'd like to have about what it means to be a woman," Larson says. Thank you for the warning...I guess that can happen without me.

Womenkind have it better in America than any other place, any other time.
So of course they use that unprecedented freedom to complain bitterly about it.
