Jackie Bradley Jr. is one of three Boston Red Sox players to publicly state he will not be present when his teammates visit President Donald Trump at the White House this spring.
Now the Gold Glove outfielder is taking to social media to explain his decision. Or perhaps more accurately, to correct people who he says incorrectly assumed his decision was politically or racially motivated.
In a message posted to Twitter on Friday, Bradley adamantly states that politics didnt play a role in his decision. He goes as far as to state it didnt matter if it was Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in office, he wouldnt be going regardless...

WHO CARES!!
Mentions Obama and then uses the ‘M’ word...
I haven’t spent a penny on any professional sports in years.
Screw em.
It is his decision. I don’t care one way or the other.
I can kinda relate to this.
I would go to minor league baseball games if I could. Otherwise I agree, not a dime to any of them.
I can relate too.
That said, if I’d been a professional athlete invited to the Obama or Clinton WH I’d have politely turned them down.
Me either
I don’t think ANY sports team, or celebrities, should be invited to the White House, unless there is some official capacity in which they are being invited (e.g. to talk about an outreach project to help people, etc.). The White House is a private residence, AND, most importantly, a place of business for the people. We are the landlords, and we lease it out for at most 8 years to any specific occupant.
Who?
Equal opportunity azzhole
He went twice when Obama was there, so let’s just conclude he hates white people.
He went twice when Obama was POTUS.
from the article, it would have been his third time to the WH so I guess I can see where a third invite wouldn’t hold the same thrill as a first time. So his spot goes to someone else. Works.
You apparently. Enough to read it and comment.
WHO CARES!!
I sure don’t, but I’ve given up
on deciding what other people
should be interested in.
If I were as lousy a hitter as ole Milton Bradley, I’d shut up. Sure he ran into ONE in the play offs, but he didn’t win the series, the pitching did. So, just shut up Milton.
I don’t give one thought to you ever. Even if I was in your area I wouldn’t lift a finger or give a thought about you. I wouldn’t let you on my property.
