Pretty pathetic for that General to not get it right. But the guy doing the video also doesn’t get it right. Typically, the aide to a general of his rank is an officer, not an enlisted guy.

What I saw in the video was correct. AF Basic Training medal...not sure why a general is wearing that...then an Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, the first two ribbons usually earned, are on the bottom row from his left to right. This is correct. Haven’t ID’ed all the rest. Maybe it’s the wrong video.

Oh come on. He immediately admitted his mistake.
On the handful of times I wore dress blues, my wife had to read me the reg book to see if I was doing it right. I am still not confident I did it right.
It made me feel much better when I talked with all the other combat arms guys there and they didn’t have a clue, either. We did more important things.

When was the last time a general was responsible for pinning his own uniform? Even as we speak, there is some former O-1 aide, on his way to Peterson AFB, assigned to count penguins for the rest of his career.
(Yes, I know about where penguins are found. And, Peterson is abandoned.)
