Roger Waters Stands with Nicolas Maduro, Praises Venezuelas Real Democracy Pink Floyd bassist and singer Roger Waters has a very strange criterion for defining "real democracy"...which he claims exists in abundance in totalitarian Venezuela.
Roger Waters has long been a supporter of far-left and socialist political causes (Twitter).
Once again, the founder of Pink Floyd is standing on the side of totalitarianism; a position that no doubt is a result of his ideological prejudices and misconceptions. In the guise of political activist he is always on the same side: the wrong one. His visceral rejection of Israel and his childlike faith in the righteousness of the Palestinian cause, his unconditional support for Argentinas Hebe de Bonafini and his bipolar vision of the world, in which the United States is to blame for everything, has already generated considerable repudiation from within the ranks of his fans.
Last year, at a concert in Brazil during election season, Waters saw how his politically-tinged speech generated applause, but also boos. Referring to the then candidate and current president Jair Bolsonaro, the English musician said he represented the resurgence of fascism. While a part of the audience applauded him, Waters also was able to see firsthand that many at the concert were Bolsonaro supporters. After his brief foray into Brazilian electoral politics (an area where he is undoubtedly an expert), he decided to quickly transition back to another hit song by his popular classic rock band. On Sunday morning, Waters weighed in on the current geopolitical crisis in Venezuela via his official Twitter account. There, Waters vindicated the dictator Nicolás Maduro and called for the United States to leave Venezuela alone. According to the rock icon, Venezuela currently enjoys a real democracy, much more so than in the United Kingdom or the United States. But Waters numerous critics received a great amount of buzz on social media, generating hundreds of likes and retweets.
He was elected, although if his party is anything like our home-grown Democrats that could be called into question. We should not be involved with any “regime change” there.
More’s the pity, we have RAT candidates here who will try to out-Venezuela Venezuela!
Coming from an anti-Trump, anti-military, socialist pig carrying anti-american, except for the money, socialist Brit with union backing, this is of no shock and never should have gotten ink. He’s just redundant.

All and all it’s just another brick in the wall.
Wow, WTF, I’m deleting every Pink Floyd song I got, dumping the CDs.
He has also expressed very anti Israel statements too. Unhinged left wing looney...
No. Do not “scratch Pink Floyd”. They booted him out, won the lawsuit he tried to slap him with, took the rights to the name from him and moved on to sell more records then ever. Waters is the BIGGEST ahole in the music biz next to Bono and he got punked by the rest of the band who do not act like him.
I somehow missed "Subscribe to our daily newsletter." Was that from the Syd Barret years?
Roger has had a permanent lapse of reason.
A commie and a BDS-hole, yeah this cuck is the total package.
Right now he's auctioning off a ton of his personal guitars, including the one he he used for recording most of their albums from the 1970s. Proceeds go to his foundation. But I have to wonder if he's retiring or perhaps has some health issues that might make keeping his music up a challenge (like Phil Collins who has lost a lot of hearing and has bad arthritis, can't really play drums anymore)
Me too. The Wall was the end of Floyd for me.
At least now we know which one’s pink.
Dark Side of the Loon.
Poor deluded fool.
“I always liked David Gilmour better anyway, especially his vocals. Waters always seemed to be sneering angrily when he sang.”
For something unexpected go to youtube and see him do “Dimming of the day” by Richard Thompson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1xcTTdVcn8
LOL. Yes, we certainly do.
The lunatic is in the hall
Leftists really love communist mass murderers.
Chiefly because they, themselves, want to BE communist mass murderers.
For Pink Floyd fans... The infamous Bob Ezrin (producer of The Wall), talks how talentless and what an ahole Roger Waters was. Great interview on how The Wall was made despite temper tantrums from RW...
Years ago, Robert A. Heinlein tried to warn us about entertainers and professional athletes and what they said!
“The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance.

But there seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously after all, if an athlete or an entertainer is paid a million or more a year.
He knows he is important so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be both ignorant and sub literate every time he opens his mouth. (Most of his fans were just as ignorant and unlettered; the disease was/is spreading.)
