It's the not-so-far-away future in San Francisco. One-Wheels and e-scooters litter the road. Your self-driving car has just deposited you at Union Square, and you've instructed it to return in an hour, after you've purchased the latest it-smartphone, the iPhone Z. Your autonomous vehicle, intelligent as it is, knows finding a parking spot downtown is nearly impossible at this hour, plus parking lots are known to charge flat rates of $15 and up. Instead of parking, your car decides to cruise...

Never underestimate government’s ability to tax or ban your car from cruising...
I can fix that.
Program the cars so they won’t move unless there are at least three people on board (unless they’re destined for a hospital or a police station).
We have them now. They are called "taxicabs".
Now, imagine what will happen when, by government edict, everyone will have to rely on taxicabs (or whatever happy sounding names they come up with). Sometimes, that system will work just fine. Other times, it will be absolute chaos.
There will never be enough cabs to handle peak demand. It's just not a financially viable business model. There will be forced ride sharing, so you might find yourself (or your kids) riding with perverts, druggies, or thieves. When a trickle of on-demand autonomous vehicles (cabs) start to show up at the concert or stadium, and thousands are waiting for their on-demand ride, people will literally be fighting to get into the first cars.
The proponents of such systems want you to believe that the cab will be there exactly when you want it. It's just not going to work that way.
Exactly.
This is what most supporters of this technology don't understand. It is also the reason far left wing corporations are the force behind them. They want control over your movements. Once they have that and your healthcare you are owned.
The media has pushed the notion there is a huge demand for these things and that is a big lie. People in general don't want anything to do with turning over their freedom of movement to some left wing third party. The push for these vehicles is about control, pure and simple.
We already have a system for those who can't drive due to medical issues, etc. It's called a cab and now we even have uber and other options. Oppose this technology at every chance. It's evil at its core.
What’s scary is that if one’s ‘Social Score’ as they call it in China is too low, they’ll simply be prohibited from using the vehicles.
...that’s what we’re giving up.
