I checked it out. I always look at authors if I’m not familiar with them and especially if their message is...odd.
The author writes a lot for Veterans Today, a notorious commie bulls*** site. The Daily Coin has very little about itself, who writes for it, etc. Sort of a mysterious pop up site.

Dude, "ought" already happened, and it happened so big that we can still use it today! My earliest recollection (gleaned through extensive reading) was the use of "ought" during the 1800s.
Mostly I like it for describing what size shotgun Hubby got for all of us for Christmas one year. We always used "ought" when talking about the guns. ;)
Sorry now I am just completely frustrated and I am going to go do something else. On a side note.... I have heard about these CIA types running for office. It is real? I am trying to run them down. Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax says he had consensual sex with woman who accuses him of assault
Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax on Monday said he had a consensual one-night stand with a woman in 2004 who now accuses him of sexual assault, saying that he is the victim of a political “smear.”
“Everything was 100 percent consensual. Not only that, the same person called me sometime later and wanted to meet with me, wanted to come visit me … wanted me to meet her mother,” Mr. Fairfax told reporters in Richmond.
Attributing sinister motivations to his accusers, Mr. Fairfax said he took Biblical advice and donned “armor of God” that “allows us to deal with the devil’s schemes and tricks.”
The sexual assault allegation swamped Mr. Fairfax as he stood poised to become governor if Gov. Ralph Northam heeds unrelenting calls to resign over a racist yearbook photo.
Mr. Northam and Mr. Fairfax are both Democrats, and the dual scandals left the party reeling.
The lieutenant governor, who is black, was widely viewed as their party’s savior when Mr. Northman was linked to a photo in his 1984 medical school yearbook that showed somebody in blackface with another person in a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
Mr. Fairfax said the timing of the sexual assault allegation pointed to a political motivation.
Vanessa Tyson, a visiting fellow at Stanford University, claimed that Mr. Fairfax sexually assaulted her when they were both campaign staffers at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.
Her story was first reported by the conservative news site Big League Politics, which was the same outlet that first published the racist yearbook photo.

A lot of people feel 12 should be the limit. Many others feel 18 should be the limit. To get an agreement, a terms limit amendment should allow each state legislature to decide either 12 or 18 to be the state set maximum. That would allow parties to agree because it does not need to be uniform. There has to be enough agreement to get an amendment into a proposal state and out for ratification.
A proposal before state legislatures has the following language:

I think Q posted (would have to look) about Dems pushing ex-CIA and mil into Congress. If Q didn’t, others have. Some did win. So the fact that CIA and mil related Dems are or were running is factual. But Henry Kamen’s biases or beliefs taint his understanding and thus, imho, not worth reading. I read more about Kamen, a British historian, born in SE Asia of British/Nepali/Burmese ethnicity. He is definitely a MAGA hater.
But there is a kernel of truth - Dems have done this - but why? I assume to keep the black/rogue CIA in the loop, trying to maintain power.

There seems to be a noticeable ramp up of tension today. Maybe if people just ignore the stuff they don’t like it might simmer down.
That’s what I try to do, as I have enough stress in my life including decades of real crap in my life so I prefer to try to stay calm at this point.... hearts and brains and stuff can only take so much and I want to stay alive for a while and see how it all works out!
