A beloved TV character came to life today, Star Trek: The Next Generation's Data, 'born' (that is to say permanently re-activated by Dr. Noonien Soong) on this day in the future year of 2338. Happy Birthday Data!

I couldn’t stand the Data character. Every time he was in a scene I kept looking for ctrl-alt-delete!

Funny, last night I was watching ST Enterprise... The episode where soong was trying to save some genitacly altered humans and Kahn was mentioned, and at the end, soong wanted to get into artificial intelligence.. I think Enterprise is way underrated.

I suppose he was meant to be a Spock like character.

I just never could get into any of the ones after the original. I would watch it then realize my mind was wandering.

BTW, they should have dismantled the holodeck. It caused all kinds of trouble. Obviously it was there as a plot device so they couldn’t.

I couldn’t stand the reboot. Should have named it, the UN in outer space. Picard was a puss and adding Whoopi? Just lame. Would be like Kirk in TOS asking Maya Angelou to bartend. Beyond PC stupidity!

What did you expect?
Picard brought his High School guidance counselor - Troi along!

Found TNG unwatchable, but this character from the silver screen cracked me up...

TOS when it was run by men and a sexy Uhura

The Next Generation....of the politically correct. Notice who they have more of? No wonder they couldn't defeat the cross dress Q!

I thought DS9 was the best series of all the ST.
