MANASSAS, VA.
A Virginia man, naked and allegedly high on marijuana, not only bit his pet dog, but also an off-duty FBI agent as authorities attempted to subdue him, WUSA reported.
Cory Michael Phillips, 31, of Manassas, was charged with malicious wounding, animal cruelty, possession of marijuana, assault and battery, obstruction of justice and intoxication in public in connection with the incident, according to the Prince William Times. Phillips will appear in court March 5, the newspaper reported.
Phillips was found by a Prince William County police officer Tuesday standing naked in a neighborhood street, WJLA reported.
When Phillips resisted arrest, the officer used pepper spray, police department spokesman Officer Nathan Probus told the Times.
A 51-year-old off-duty FBI officer attempted to help. As Phillips struggled with the agent, he bit him on the neck, causing a minor injury, the newspaper reported.
During their subsequent investigation, police determined that Phillips had picked up his 5-year-old Labrador-boxer mix dog, began squeezing it and then bit the animal on its ears and chest, WUSA reported. He then went outside and pushed a neighbor, a 60-year-old woman, to the ground, police said. The woman was not injured, WUSA reported.
Giggling Police in Manassas later reported the powerful weed had been lost on the way to the evidence locker.
9 bedrooms means 20+ people actually living there. Those south of the border types tend to pack a house like a can of sardines.
I would put the percentage of legal immigrants at 10% or less. Northern Virginia seems to attract illegals like bees to honey.
Their police probably never check immigration status.
Kind of sad to see that happen to a place that you have memories of.
Got the munchies.
Not uncommon. Marijuana can cause psychosis and schizophrenia. I’ve smelled “skunks” on the street here who were totally out of their minds.
Man Bites Dog... used to be a joke.
Yes. I have seen what it did to siblings and co-workers.
And marijuana today is 20+ times more potent than in the 1960s.
Yes, it really drives home the extent of the invasion in northern VA. I really feel sorry for the home owners in the area because turning these decent single family dwellings into tenements is bound to reduce property values drastically. I wouldn’t have believed that Prince William county would permit it.
Methinks that boy was smoking something a bit stronger than marijuana.
“What was the weather like on Tuesday in Manassas?”
Tuesday was pretty much seasonal - 20-degrees or so - at time of the incident. Now at post-time it’s 12-13 degrees.
You would have to be pretty messed up to be out naked in that weather... Brrrrr!
