Todays Cryptogram
CUVSS N'ODNOB YZ LDILRZ CNN DLCS NV CNN SLVDR XNV LMRCUYMT RNF ILMC CN KN. WSLM-QLFD ZLVCVS
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.
For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
Send me a private reply if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under two "you're a pro!"
Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
Its easier to work on the puzzle without having to use your pencil.
Solution to our last puzzle:
You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality. Ayn Rand

Get the author and you get the quote
1 minute not a single pause. Apostrophized word is the key.
I bet this one has something to do with fake news. I notice CNN appears twice in the sentence.
Unless you guess the author, first. That gives you nearly half of the alphabet.
Nods.
4 .... first word opened it up (for me)
Yesterday stumped me...went back a few times —must have NEVER gotten or tried an A or Y——at least in the same segment.
Here’s a puzzle for you: Why isn’t Sally Yates in prison?
You are correct. That word unlocks everything.
3 min. The second word and the hyphenated first name of Author were my big helps.
This quiz has now become a part of my morning routine right after my devotional.
Quite enjoyable.
That’s great!

Good job!!! That should make you feel like you’ve accomplished something. They will be getting easier as you continue to work through them. You’re doing great!
We’ve got a small but growing group here who are starting their day with the puzzle. I am quite sure that when you turn 60 and before, you should be doing these little mind puzzles.
Let’s see how well you’re doing them, one week from now.
7 minutes. One of my SLOW ones...
Under 8 minutes is still very good. Great quote IMO
ONE MINUTE!
??
3:50, once I got my thumb out of my ear and quit insisting to myself that the multiple three-letter word wasn’t what I thought it was, it went fairly quickly ...
Hi! Can you add me to the Cryptogram ping list?
Thanks,
Eric
