The new list includes three nominees for the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the liberal-leaning court that oversees the West Coast, Alaska and Hawaii, and which has been a frequent target of Mr. Trump’s ire. The president also named four picks for district judgeships in California.
The announcement came after conservatives said they feared the president was working on a deal with Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala D. Harris, California’s two Democrats, to submit a consensus list that wouldn’t dramatically shift the court’s ideological balance.
Mr. Trump’s list should put those fears to rest.
Two of the appeals court nominees — Daniel P. Collins and Kenneth Kiyul Lee — were names he’d submitted last year, while a third, Daniel A. Bress, is considered a rising star.
“We are relieved to see that the White House has decided to move forward with a list of extraordinarily qualified nominees,” said Carrie Severino, chief counsel for the conservative Judicial Crisis Network.

The all too common problem. I call it the “Ann Coulter Syndrome” The Fakenews media says something and conservatives freak out, denounce Trump for abandoning them and vow to not vote for Trump. Story proves false, Republicans are OK, then cycle repeats. Over and over again.

Never underestimate Donald Trump.
I never, ever begin to think he’s going soft. I know better. He’s playing 3-D chess while the other congress critters play checkers...badly...
Even if it looks a bit iffy on the surface, it usually turns out he’s been 3 steps ahead of the pack all along.

Funny, they (Republicans) don’t really care for conservatives. They just like to talk about how conservative they are, as they vote for moderates who lean both left & right of center. President Trump has been the most conservative presidents in my lifetime.
I believe Trump MAY have asked those two women for their input. It may have made it easier to make sure he was getting Constitutional Judges. If those two chuckleheads found a nominee acceptable they were OFF the list!
