A woman was kicked off a United Airlines flight after ranting about sitting between two big pigs a tirade caught on video by one of the passengers she was fat-shaming.
Oh my goodness! I dont know how Im going to do this for the next four hours! the woman tells someone on her cellphone on the recent Las Vegas-to-Newark flight.
This is just impossible cause theyre squishing me. Like, just unbelievable. At least theyll keep me warm, she continues. I cant sit here because theyre both so big on left and right. I cant even sit here.

Eventually, in the USA we will be just like the movies about 3rd world countries. Every train, bus, plane... chickens pigs dogs screaming yelling sweaty good fun!
She’s not wrong, she just wasn’t very tactful about it.
The 2 big guys were black, so, she’s just being racist. Fatness does not enter into the equation as long as they’re black.
On a flight back from Chicago I was placed between two fat people. They were married, but were too fat to sit next to each other in normal airline seats; they were too fat to even have the arm rests down. They were unfriendly because they thought it was unfair that the airline had sold the seat between them. So for the next 4 hours they were both sweating up against me. Fortunately, I had an mp3 player and a tablet to help me get to my happy place.
In her defense her seat mates were rather ample as in 350lb+ each territory. She was rather rude but accurate.
She should have referred to these two as GRAVITATIONALLY CHALLENGED.. However even this may have gotten her in to trouble....hmmm
If my understanding of another article about this is accurate, the two overweight passengers were together. They purchased two seats, hoping no one would take the middle seat so they would have extra room without purchasing 2 seats each.

I think one of the lard asses was a “sista”...”Oprah, is that you?”
Were they spilling over into her seat?
I refuse to lift armrests for anybody I’m not related to. MY seat is wholly paid for by me and is reserved for ONLY my buttocks. I don’t care how uncomfortable the other passenger is. On a long ago trip with my very thin 8 year old in the center seat, the very large female passenger in the window seat tried to lift the armrest. I told her flatly and sternly the armrest would stay down. If she wanted half my son’s seat, she would need to pay half the ticket price in cash - now.

Wow, where to start.
I’m sure ultimately she was kicked off not so much because of her fat views, but because she was disruptive. Although, one can argue just how disruptive was she in this 8-min film? Also note she wasn’t using foul language versus the reaction, who even spoke to the workers like that. She was basically verbally abusing others on the plane.
(And did you hear the jerk smirk “Make America Great Again, that’s a good example?” because she said she’s not PC.)
OTOH, when is it going to start being sue-able regarding people filming others deliberately and posting it for all to see?
No, the one filming and griping back was a woman. She filmed and you could see the other was a man. Both black.
She apparently is a platinum member, and the seats looked nice.
BUT, notice, no matter how nice the seats are themselves, they’re still too damn cramped.
Yeah, airplane travel is great.
Get me coach in a modern Amtrak any day.
Those were some large folks, but keep in mind the airlines, in the name of “economy” continue to shrink the width of seats in coach. Back in the 90s this sort of thing was only an issue with really HUGE flyers, but now an overweight man of 250 pounds overflows the narrow seats of today like a 350 pound man would overflow a 1990 seat.
Your description raises a question. What rights, if any, does a passenger have to at least have the arm rests down between seats? Its bad enough when they bulge over and under the arm rest, but to not have it down at all sounds like the airline has not sold you a full seat.
That is the same situation that I was in. My seat was between two super fat people who were married and upset that the airline sold the seat between them. In my case we wouldn't have fit in the seats at all if we hadn't stowed our coats in the overhead compartments.
I told the story slightly wrong in my previous post. This was on Southwest Airlines and I was flying standby because my brother is a captain and gave me the ticket. The plane was completely full and I was very lucky to get on at all. It was the last seat left on the plane.
The married couple I was sitting between were very unhappy that I chose to sit between them. I was told by them that no one had ever chosen to try and sit between them in the past and they blamed me. If I had realized how uncomfortable the trip was going to be I might have tried to get on a later flight. But I had already been at the terminal for several hours because I had not been able to board on two previous flights.
