Because of these records being lost I am unable to trace my husbands gynecology back.

I bet he doesn’t have a gynecological record, and that’s OK....

Interesting as usual.

I wonder who this fellow is that produces these vignettes? He has kept his actual identity and resource base, which must be considerable, to himself very well in a day when so much is easy to find out. I guess it really does not matter though since he does a great job and is very productive. Quite remarkable.

There was a NY census in 1892. It helped me out a couple of times - https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1529100

In the words of Larry the Cable Guy: “I don’t care who you are, that’s funny!”

I had the same problem with my great grandmother... that 1890 census would have been invaluable to figure out what happened to her and her siblings after her mother died.

I eventually did, but that document would have made it SO much easier.

You have a good memory for being at least 127 years old.

If your ‘husband’ has a gynecologist, you are probably posting on the wrong site.

Here in NY, we had a census every 5 years for the years 1855, 1865, 1875...forgot what else. Very helpful because contained more information than the Federal census.

I prefer the Archie Bunker version: groinicologist. (that term is OK, no matter what you identify as).
