This winter, commuters say the problem has gotten so bad they’re left with no seats to use.

I envision they eventually will have hobos doing abortions in the subway cars (wanted or unwanted), chopping up the dead babies and selling the parts for ciggy, ho and drug cash. The new yorkers will cheer and laugh as they drench themselves in the blood of the innocents. Lunactics practicing their lunacy in a lunactic city run by LIB lunatics...

I can’t imagine ANYTHING that would move me off the farm.

I don’t know how people can function in a big city, but some people really like it. I get nervous when I’m in a town of 500; that’s WAY too ‘People-y’ for me. ;)

They will now dump filth/feces along the tracks, so once needing to be cleaned up, it will be condemned. >8-/ Couldn’t happen to a more deserving political $h!thole.

It's a plot by Bloomie to take over again.

Remember his crack-down on crime? Fining every minor problem he could, such as an Israeli tourist that fell asleep on a bus or subway car, and leaned into the next seat on a mostly empty transportation vehicle. $50 or $75 for "taking up more than one seat".

Uh, is the MTA a city or state-controlled entity? (I seemed to recall a recent article about the NYC subway being under the state to some extent. (unintentional pun left in)

It may be Cuomo's problem, at least partly.

The bill that was approved by the NY State Senate yesterday allows for nonphysicians to perform abortions. Thought that was part of what we were trying to prevent.

And it removes protection for "infants born alive."

This is part of the open letter that was sent to Heastie:

Section Three of the RHA would repeal Public Health Law § 4164, which contains important provisions relating to the rights of infants born alive following abortions performed after 20 weeks’ gestation. Public Health Law § 4164(1) provides that for abortions performed after the twentieth week of pregnancy, a second physician “shall be in attendance to take control of and to provide immediate medical care for any live birth that is the result of the abortion.” Also, Public Health Law § 4164(2) mandates that a viable infant born alive following an abortion performed after 20 weeks’ gestation “be accorded immediate legal protection under the laws of the state of New York…” The proposed repeal of this statutory section would withdraw legal protection from such infants, making it legal for them to be denied treatment. NYCF believes that the right of every born-alive infant to receive medical care is an issue that all political parties and all sides of the abortion debate should be able to agree upon. With respect, we call upon you and your colleagues to strike Section Three from this bill.

“Another success story from a Democratically controlled city.”

Must be nice to have a political philosphy that doesn’t recognize that the “Law of Unintended Consequences” exists.

Another success story from a Democratically controlled city.

Exactly.

They got what they voted for.

Simple solution. NY just passed a LAW that you can kill your baby right up until the moment of birth.

Is that correct? I’ve been trying to get clarification, since the cited texts I’d found said until “the expected date of birth” - which is even more horrible.
