The snubs are always the big story in Oscar nominations. Ive included some other milestones here.
No nod for Morgan Nevilles award winning doc about Mister Rogers, Wont You Be My Neighbor? Its a shock. Three Identical Strangers was also kept out. Bradley Cooper was not nominated for Best Director, but picked up Best Actor, Screenplay and Picture for A Star is Born
A Quiet Place was totally shut out. Emily Blunt didnt make Best Supporting Actress or Best Actress for Mary Poppins. Aside from song and below the line, Poppins pooped out.

“Cold War” should win Best Foreign Film. Excellent movie.

A Quiet Place was totally shut out.
They should have made more noise about it.
Seriously, it was a standard-issue horror/suspense flick. No reason it should even have been considered for best picture.

True. And I’ve seen a couple of these movies and certainly didn’t think any of them were Oscar worthy. Boy have they lowered their standards.

Sorry, but that list of “snubs” certainly deserved to be snubbed...
And while I haven’t seen the list who made it, my guess is MOST of those should have been snubbed too
To: SMGFan
Hope Malek wins, but to me he’ll always be “Snafu”.

Oscar Snubs: 'First Man"
Doesn't surprise me at all. When Neil Armstrong died, my local Gannett rag buried the story on page 4.
That was 6 years ago ... and I'm STILL PO'd.

I just watched Roma last night and really enjoyed it. More style than story, which I sometimes prefer.
I recently saw Three Identical Strangers. Pretty good. I can see why it was passed over.

Awwww... some of them got left unattended in the circle jerk of leftist self-praise, yet somehow, my life continues unaltered by the cruelty of their fate.

Do any of the movies that they snubbed have homos or trannies in them? I know “The Quiet Place” doesn’t because I saw that on DVD. But what about the rest?

Emily Blunt and her husband can console themselves all the way to the bank. The picture costs less than $20 million to make and the box office was over $300 million.
