The NFL is being urged to fire the crew who officiated the NFC Championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints over a blown call in the fourth quarter of the matchup.
A petition launched after the Rams defeated the Saints in overtime, 26-23, has asked the league to fire official Bill Vinovich and the rest of the officials who were in charge Sunday afternoon. The officials came under fire after missing a clear pass interference penalty late in the fourth quarter.

Petitions are useless.. all they do is collect names and emails or addresses for endless request for money.
Much like writing a representative or senator, a complete waste of time.
Agreed. The rules just for offensive linemen and quarterbacks have changed so much in the last three to four decades that On Any Given play the refs could easily call holding on offensive lineman.
Defensive backs commit interference on a regular basis taking their chances if they caught or not. They figure the odds are in their favor. I believe that play was an unintended consequence of those changes.
No, how many and who were the teams?
A team that is outscored by 16 points over the last 3+ quarters has bigger problems than 1 horrible call.
Almost all of them and every one of them.
lol
“If your whole game depends on one play (much less a call) then you dont deserve to win.”
I beg to differ. If two teams have relative parity, an egregious call — or non-call — by the officials can very well determine the outcome of a game. And THAT was an egregious non-call.
Got to admit---that's funny.
I have viewed the video 17 times. It was a goodcall.
“...and this was no judgement call, it was blatant.”
That’s a fact.
"Best" is a very pliable term, depending on the obvious or implied meaning of the sentence. "Hillary's best supporters within the FBI" might be a good example of this.
Please explain. I need to know why my eyes and in-depth knowledge of football have, in your opinion, failed me. Cheers!

New Orleans head coach should be fired for calling passes twice in that goal line sequence instead of forcing LA to use its last two TO’s...
LOL!
Actually, that was the most glaring because of the time in the game it took place. There were at least seven other no-calls during the game that in a normal game would have led to personal fouls and/or ejections. Most, but not all, would have hurt the Rams. It was a game where head slaps to the QB well after the ball was released were OK even with an official looking right at the play.
I turned on the Colts play-off game. The first game I watched this year. 3rd quarter the refs didn’t call a blatant pass interference, just like the Saints game. Even the commentators were wondering how the refs missed it.
I turned off the game. There’s no point in watching any more, with the anti-American thugs and bad officiating.
With Brees completing passes at about a 75% rate, it was a good gamble. Especially since they would be expecting a run. The second pass was a touchdown without the hold/PI/helmet to helmet non-call, and a first down without the offsides non-call.
Yep, same.
Saints Rams was the only game I’ve watched in three years.
And I am a life long Saints fan who was rooting for the Saints to lose, because they are truly a BUNCH OF ANNOYING JERKS, but when that happened, I got a little pissed, because they did not lose, they were robbed by the crap refs.
And nope there really is not much point in watching thug league with piss poor refs.
Amen to that. Delighted that the Saints lost that game in their home stadium. Too much fan noise. Same with Seattle. I hate both teams and their venues. If the NFL wanted to do something right, it would find ways to tone down the acoustics in every NFL stadium so that the visiting teams could at least hear each other on their offensive plays. I will always equate the New Orleans stadium to Hurricane Katrina and the abortion of a local government’s handling of the crisis and blaming GW Bush for local greed, incompetence and cowardice.
