The NFL is being urged to fire the crew who officiated the NFC Championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints over a blown call in the fourth quarter of the matchup.
A petition launched after the Rams defeated the Saints in overtime, 26-23, has asked the league to fire official Bill Vinovich and the rest of the officials who were in charge Sunday afternoon. The officials came under fire after missing a clear pass interference penalty late in the fourth quarter.

That’s merely treating a symptom of the disease.
They put their best crews on the playoff games. They can’t fire one of their best crews.
If they did that, they might end up with a different result than planned.

If your whole game depends on one play (much less a call) then you don’t deserve to win.
Fire them and replay the game from that point.
There is no point in even having refs if they are that bad.
Exactly. If the whole game was analyzed I’m sure you could find a hundred penalties that weren’t called. It all evens out.

But this call would have allowed the Saints to run the clock down to kick the winning FG, and this was no judgement call, it was blatant.
People need to give up. Yes it was a blown call but there was a face mask on NO when LA was trying to score that wasn’t called. Besides where are these calls for firing when most times than not...the Patriots are favored with lots of bogus calls against opposing team?

This was blatant and inexcusable and I’m not a Saints fan....far from it...
Poor officiating, or worse, false officiating, is inexcusable.....
I’ll go further, someones private bank account was just enriched....Follow the money....

It’s a game. Games are supposed to sometimes be changed by the unexpected, on luck bad and good.
It’s not important.
They tried an all-female referee crew, but they kept throwing flags for plays that happened years ago.
The NFL knew that support of the Rams in LA was lukewarm at best, they needed something to energize the fans there, since obviously nobody cares about the Chargers, neither.
The game is over and nothing can be done about it. They aren’t going to replay the game.
Kinda like voter fraud, they get away with it and nothing is ever done about it. Game over.
