The MAGA hat-wearing teen who went viral over the weekend — after he was caught on camera smiling and staring down an elderly Native American war vet at the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington — has come forward to defend his actions.
“I am providing this factual account of what happened on Friday afternoon at the Lincoln Memorial to correct misinformation and outright lies being spread about my family and me,” explained Nick Sandmann, a junior at Covington Catholic High School in northern Kentucky.

I was born in ‘56. I got a draft card, but never heard from them again. They never even called us up for physicals. You cannot equate that with being drafted and sent out to guard rice paddies. I don’t think the ‘55 crew had it any different.

The “black Israelites” raving racist lunatics. I was only pointing out that many equate Vietnam veteran with Vietnam era veteran. We all know how accurate reporters are. The reporter may have made a mistake, or the word may have been removed by the editor to save space/money. Either way, I do not see it as a reason to get up in the trees. Yes, it may warrant clarification, but not lynching.
The 3 and a half minute video has the fellow wih the drum apparantly trying slowly push the other group back by just getting close to them and doing his chant. It didnt work on this one kid who smiled patiently and just stood there.
And yet the MSM wonders why they are taunted as fake news and hated...

I just heard the end of Hewitt’s show. He read the letter the young man wrote explaining what happened. Hugh says the kid did nothing wrong. Hugh really jumped on the bandwagon until he got additional information.He should have apologized to the kids, but he did not.
The real story here is that there was a group of loopy Black Nationalists calling themselves “African Israelites” or something like that who were taunting and threatening both the white students and the Indians, both of whom were initially marching/protesting peacefully. Instead of documenting the actions of the “African Israelites”, the media focuses on and scapegoats some white kids whose worst offense is looking with a goofy grin towards an Indian protester.
Yeah this guy definitely seems like a professional “victim” and he effed with the wrong kids. The coming days if he’s a fraud, he’s going to be exposed.
It is like apologies today are worthless. If someone gets accused of something they automatically apologise. They are becoming instinctual, kind of like yelling “Polo” when someone yells “Marco”

I also notice the diocese has already caved and apologized for something that didn’t actually happen. There was reportedly a chaperon(s) with them. Any comments from said chaperon(s)? Then when the youngster tries to give his account, he’s still made to look like he was the instigator. I have no doubt some lefty operative saw them and ginned up the “confrontation” to spread the lie. Sad.

I saw pigs fly this morning. CBS did a long segment clarifying the issue and showing that the kids got a bum rap.
The NY Post sucks anymore. Is that an article or an editorial? It is obvious the writer of the article has made their mind up. Are there any honest editors anywhere?
