Brilliantly clear (but very cold) sky over SouthEast US after rains earlier in the day.
Very good viewing, for a few minutes outside in the cold air.

I almost have to look straight up to see it.

Coyotes are howling up a storm where I live.

Just put the real ice on yourself and head out.
That would be at least as effective.

Seems to have the aminals stirred up quite a bit. My sister woke me up to tell me to see the blood moon. Her dogs were in a frenzy. Never heard such a racket. Our dog sleeps through everything. No peep from him.

The imagery on this channel on Youtube is by someone who is a professional with images. It is BREATHTAKING. If you can’t see it where you are, or it’s really cold, by all means watch this channel on Youtube—>Allen Mitchell channel.

Cool... Break in the clouds and got to see it. Looks like early rust. Same color.
Now man spreading in front of a heater. All is good.

Im in your vicinity and I went outside in 14 degree weather for nothing. Cant see anything in the sky. See what I mean? I only could see the planes' lights on their takeoff from LaGuardia, which is about 15 minutes away. But this Allen Mitchell channel on Youtube has stunning imagery. He has a telescope controlled by some computer programs and he can correct/improve the image minutely.

Heavy snow just gives you an excuse to shovel the driveway and sidewalk at midnight.

Yeah, cleared up, and Moon’s nice and red in SW Va now.
Full eclipse I’d guess.

NONE of my windows in SW Pa. are in line in 4 degree weather ... I’ll have to read about it later.

Same here.
Too much trouble for a telescope.
The binoculars do ok.
Just cold out.

-10°F here; I'm not going out and 10-15mi south to watch. Slightly overcast up here in York. 20-30yrs ago, I would make the trek and break-out the USAF Parka to do it.

If you are using a phone camera, press on the moon when you focus and zoom in on it to get to AE/AF LOCK, reduce the brightness, and it will capture it.

Reporting in from Fresno, CA.
Peak eclipse phase at 9:12pm local time.
Heavy rains have stopped , but the sky is covered in a cloud layer.
