In a series of tweets, Trump chastised Democrats for dismissing his plan, and attempted to assuage immigration hard-liners who likened the administration's latest proposal to amnesty for immigrants already in the country illegally.
"No, Amnesty is not a part of my offer," Trump tweeted. "It is a 3 year extension of DACA. Amnesty will be used only on a much bigger deal, whether on immigration or something else. Likewise there will be no big push to remove the 11,000,000 plus people who are here illegally-but be careful Nancy!"

A thought occurred to me the other day that I might as well post to this thread:
Say that the Mexico/America Barrier is built. How many of the millions here will self-deport, not really wanting to be stuck forever on the American side?
1) They like their own flag better, and still think of themselves as Mexicans.
2) They’re still illegal, and with the Barrier they’ll be stuck.
3) Family is still down there and they won’t be able to go back and forth.
4) Things could change enough here that we’ll go after them.
5) Things could change enough here that the bennies will dry-up.
6) There won’t be more coming, so assimilation will thin-out the barrio.
7) Likewise job-preferences and catering to Spanish may decline.
There are likely more or even better reasons, but it just occurred to me that the Barrier works both ways.
Still sore Jeb/Cruz didn’t get the nomination, eh?

It depends on your definition. Sounds like yours is that they dont get citizenship, so it’s not amnesty.
Mine is that they and the additional 30+ million illegals get to stay - and that is amnesty.
That they all get to stay, reproduce, get free handouts - they will destroy this country. I escaped Mexifornia because it is ruined beyond repair - and will spread to every other state shortly since the invaders get rewarded for commuting their crime.

Trump could take a Republican controlled Congress to the mat for....Federal Prison Inmate reform and force them to pass it because Ivanka and Jared wanted it.
If he actually wanted the Wall he could have forced a shutdown in 17' or just twisted some arms.
The campaign ended way back in Nov 16', at some point you should stop hanging around the victory party and actually hold him to the promises he made.

Thank you! Trump should immediately begin interior enforcement. This will bring the Rats to the table to completely overhaul immigration laws and close the loopholes.

The raid to capture Elian and take him back to Cuba took 30 agents, let's say they spent 1/2 a day doing that. 15 agents per day times 800,000 DACA is 32,000 man years or about $5 billion. That doesn't account for the extra police used to disperse the hundreds of Cuban protestors.
We could deal with the 11,000,000 (or 2 or 3 times that) by cracking down on employers and taking in money in fines. Instead you would spend billions rounding people up. Not just criminals or unregistered illegals, but DACA who have registered and are therefore much less of a threat. Not cost effective to say the least.
If the others are illegal they get treated like any of the other 10's of millions of illegals. The main way to deal with the largest number is to cut off their income.
