My memory is that these excursions are very common for congresscritters, and that taking along everybody and their brother is standard since they figure the plane has room and no one else would be allowed to endanger them by sharing THEIR plane. They are the center of attention, get their photos taken with famous people and can use the photos on electioneering material when needed.

The sinister plans are for the higher-ups, like P and S. They look forward to passing on gossip to anti-Trumpers and doing anything they can to disrupt Trump’s plans in Europe. It’s their need to get in the European papers that America is NOT supporting Trump and that if everyone is patient, in two years their party will be in a position to give America away to Europe and to anybody else who might want it.

And who knows? They might actually believe that twaddle. After all, their bootlickers confirm their self opinions as masters of the humane Democratic philosophy.
