Rush discussed this a few days ago. Said he always has better results with chocolate than meds when it comes to coughing. He thought it was just unique to him, I guess, and didn’t realize it’s “a thing”.

Having a hubby who is a Chocoholic, with Pneumonia coughing his lungs up, still consuming Chocolate, I can tell you it doesn’t work. He even consumes quantities of jelly beans he lets melt in his mouth.

Heaving coughing try Tesslon Perles script. 2 pills a day. Even a Glaucoma patient can have them. My mom broke ribs coughing from Bronchitis.

It looks like that all chocolate provides is stickiness, to allow any medicine to stay in the throat for longer, or to soothe the throat.

We still need more than chocolate (even dark chocolate) to help our throats.

But it does taste better than Robitussin ...
