Secret Door in Great Sphinx leading to the Hall of Records (Cover up!)

Here below is an aerial photograph of the great Sphinx. It is worth noting that aerial photography in the area is restricted. If you look at the top of the head you will note a round lighter coloured patch. It looks like it has been altered

The image below show it a little more clearer.

and the close up.

Now if you go back in time and look at older ariel images you can clearly see that the top is open.

Photo taken 15 Dec 1925

In 1914, Professor George A. Reisner of Harvard University excavated the hole on the head of The Sphinx. He came back with a story that has almost been erased from history.

In 1914, newspapers around the world reported his findings, including a temple of the Sun and also the sarcophagus of the first Pharaoh #Menes. These findings have now been erased from history books and Egyptian authorities deny the Sphinx chambers' existence.

Its an interesting story and worthy of attention.

I wonder why they they pump out so much water from under the Shpinx.

A separate scientific update states that 260 cubic metres of water are being pumped out every hour through drainage tubes. That’s 6,240 cubic metres or 6,240,000 litres of water per day. An Olympic swimming pool has 2,500,000 litres. In short, water of a quantity equal to almost three Olympic swimming pools is pumped away on a daily basis from underneath the Sphinx!

There is also an entrance to a tunnel system at the side on the base. I believe this probably used to be a full size door but sand has built up and it has been restored over.

Here is an image of the x man himself. (I believed he got fired) entering the passage at the back.

I think this may be same passage you can see here on this image.

Here are the images from you link.

A little more information on the professor and his account of the expedition.

“Professor G. A. Reisner of Harvard University, who has been making a scientific examination of that mysterious Egyptian monument known as the Sphinx, has made several notable discoveries, which it is hoped will contribute materially towards the elucidation of a problem that has puzzled the ages. “Inside the Sphinx he found a temple dedicated to the sun.

It is older than any of the pyramids and its date is somewhere about 6,000 BC, the most ancient in Egyptian history. Mena, or Menes as his name is sometimes spelled, was the first king of Egypt of whom modern scientists have discovered historic record.

Here is an image of the x man himself.

The "x man" is Dr. Zahi Hawass. Former Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs. And yes, he was replaced.

Where did the Egyptians get a steel manhole cover for top of the Sphinx in the 4th Dynasty?

I have no friggin’ idea. However, I do know that ANYTHING that doesn’t comport with the accepted “truth” of human history, as characterized by the archaeological community, is denied as long as possible.

How long were we told that the Norse never made it to North America? Anything that indicated otherwise was “fake” - until, that is, it couldn’t be denied any longer. We’re supposed to believe that every single indigenous human being in the western hemisphere prior to 1492 (now 1000-1100 a.d.) walked across the Bering land bridge? That people who canoed or sailed hundreds or thousands of miles in the Pacific, around Africa, or from Northern Europe to South Asia could never have made it to North America? Please!

There is a helluva lot about human history that we just don’t know and probably never will. It’s no more “settled science” than global warming/climate change/global cooling.

Egyptian cultural heritage refuses to acknowledge any construction prior to about 2000 BC. This is throttling research in all antiquities.

Absolutely!

Like the Roman ship found off the coast of Brazil, or the Egyption carvings in the rocks of Australia, or the objects in coal. Current popular science is based on a narrative that relies on a dumbed-down and ignorant public that has blind faith in the guardians of truth in their ivory towers.

The Psychic Edgar Cayce was famous for claiming that there was a Hall of Records beneath the Sphinx.

The more you read about these structures you come to realize that something is really strange here.

First off, they’re much much older than believed. 6000 years? Secondly, originally the outer layer was pure white, with gold at the top. The granitie and monolith carvings could not possibly been done with the hand tools of the day.
Also the alignment and the materials used suggest that it could have been a large source of wireless energy.

The most logical thought is that the people who built these were far and away more advanced than believed.

Count me unconvinced. Psychic Edgar Cayce predicted the discovery of rooms underneath the Sphinx. Claims about the actual existence of rooms inside or near the Sphinx crop up now and then, usually due to the enthusiasm of Cayce fans eager to validate "America's Sleeping Prophet" as he was called.

The original published source of the claim and drawings is a defunct British newspaper that specialized in illustrated news from around the British Empire and the world. Then and now, British journalism has a highly inventive streak, with foreigners especially prone to finding themselves saddled with invented quotes and purely fictional claims. British libel law makes suit impractical and uneconomic.

The only individual named as a source is "Professor G A Reisner of Harvard University." This refers to George Andrew Reisner, a pioneering Egyptologist. He never published such findings or otherwise alerted his fellow Egyptologists about hidden rooms in the Sphinx in an era in which Britain ruled Egypt and US and British excavators had relatively easy access to the monuments at Giza.

In short, there is no evidence for hidden rooms inside or near the Sphinx. The only reasons to think so are the readings and predictions of a long dead psychic and the fabrications of an old British tabloid.

As for water being pumped from the ground near the Sphinx, it is likely part of an effort by the Egyptian authorities to preserve it and the pyramids. The growth of Cairo's suburbs and the year-round irrigation made possible by the Aswan Dam have raised the water table on the Giza plateau.

The result is that the pyramids and the Sphinx absorb water into their porous limestone, which causes salts to be deposited near their surfaces, resulting in the rock flaking away. The pyramids and the Sphinx are thus dissolving.

If the Sphinx is to survive, it must soon undergo renovations and repairs that include a detailed survey and study of the structure. Since Egypt will look to foreigners to pay for the work, the Sphinx will be examined carefully and the results published. Or, if the Egyptians to operate in their usual slipshod manner, the Sphinx will unveil its internal structure as it falls apart due to lack of adequate care.

Why would they erase it? To discourage treasure hunters, maybe?

Maybe they found Hebrew connections that disprove current political beliefs?

You got it. Archaeological dogma is being crushed by recent geological data. The Sphinx points drop drop dead center to the sun on the equinox. If you run the star charts backwards 12,000 years, guess which constellation the Sphinx points to. It points to Leo. Think precession. If it were built in the times of the Pharaohs it would point to Taurus. There's also the geological data suggesting there were steady rains when the Sphinx was built which matches up with climate data from 12,000 years ago.

Further, Gobekli Tepe is blowing all their dogma to smithereens.
