A professor recently claimed that the way President Donald Trump formulates his sentences raises concern that he may be unfit to fulfill his duties as president of the United Statesall just months after he defended "Black English" as an "alternate form" of the language.
John McWhorter, a linguistics professor at Columbia University, pointed out how Trumps grammatical and spelling mistakes disqualify him from serving as commander-in-chief, in an op-ed for The Atlantic. McWhorter further stated that Trumps informal style "betray[s] his lack of fitness for the presidency."

I was a fan of McWorther. No more. This stupid.
What a horse’s ass (no insult intended toward horses, btw).
Ooops! I misspelled his name. ;)

Oh really? Where was this professor when obama said:
R-S-P-E-C-T. (trying to quote franklins song)
Ive now been in 57 states I think one left to go.
Were the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad.
The Cambridge police acted stupidly.
The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system. (At least he spoke the truth for once)
It was also interesting to see that political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate. Theres a lot of I dont know what the term is in Austrian, wheeling and dealing. (While speaking to Germans- Imagine if President Bush had said any of these things?)
No, no. I have been practicing...I bowled a 129. Its like it was like Special Olympics, or something.
Im here with the Girardo family here in St. Louis. (Speaking via satellite while in Kansas)
On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes and I see many of them in the audience here today our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.
In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died an entire town destroyed. (12 people died)
In the case of John McWhorter he would probably prefer Mulattonics over Ebonics.
Gotta dredge up the best joke on the subject:
This year’s Miss Ebonics contest has been cancelled -
Nobody wanted to be Miss I-da-ho.
Has McWhorter ever heard Obozo make a speech without the help of a teleprompter? It is not pretty. She was not president, but in any event, has McWhorter ever read Moochie’s barely literate Princeton thesis?
Who says Trump is making typos vs trolling idiots? Looks like he got to one Mr Professor.
There was a man named McWhorter
Who thought he could no longer be shorter
Than President Trump
Who has brass balls on his pump,
And MacWhorter is now known as McShorter.
...Because only stuffed shirts or grammar Nazis can fulfill the duties of the office of POTUS.
John McWhorter wrote Losing the Race. Sorry he lost his spine.
You forgot my personal favorite “the corpse men”.
For a while I thought McWhorter was a real smart man. No more. Skin color trumps reason. He’s a male version of the View.
Is McWhorter a successful billionaire businessman? No? Then maybe he just doesn’t understand the president, a man who’s better than him in every way imaginable.
McWhorter can cordially STFU any time he likes.
Black English (and I've heard quite enough to be able to comment on it) is a bastardization of a noble language, the language of poets and playwrights, the language of essayists and, if they have a good speech writer, the language of highly effective politicians. Who can forget "Fourscore and seven years ago....", or "Ask not what your country can do for you..."? Or "...We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.?
English, having origins in many tongues, derives from this hybridization a rich panoply which, when expertly wielded, can express anything from the most delicate nuance to a mighty rousing cheer. NOT so a version devoid of pronouns and often verbs, truncated from thousands to a few hundred, usually vulgar words. This guy is obviously politically motivated and attempts to use his degrees to give himself credibility which any educated person can see right through.
Breaking News: The Democratic House has started impeachment hearing against Pres. Trump because he only cuts his toenails every six weeks.
I have yet to hear Trump refer to the Marine Corp’s combat medics as “Navy corpsemen.”
I still like his audiobooks on language, but his racism got to me some years ago.
