P&G Challenges Men to Shave Their Toxic Masculinity in Gillette Ad
Spot pegged to #MeToo asks Is this the best a man can get?
Gillette is embracing the #MeToo movement in a new digital ad campaign aimed at men, the latest message from an advertiser attempting to change societal norms.
The ad, dubbed We Believe, opens with audio of news about the current #MeToo movement, bullying and toxic masculinity. A narrator then goes on to dispute the notion that boys will be boys, asking, Is this the best a man can get? Is it? We cant hide from it. It has been going on far too long. We cant laugh it off, making the same old excuses.

My email to Gillette...
“Toxic” masculinity is what made America great. Your current ad is both embarrassing to you and an insult to me. No more Gillette products for me. You should fire your ad agency and anyone who signed off on this horrible idea.
This is all the millennials today graduating from the indoctrination centers that use to be known as universities and they get hired by these ad agencies and bring this leftist crap along with them. “Hey, I got a great idea! We are selling razors to men and let’s insult their masculinity because being a man is bad”. Proctor and Gamble owns Gillette now and I’m assuming they have a bunch of indoctrinated boneheads on their staff as well, who the hell else would agree to this? Last year I was looking to buy sneakers and I was thinking of buying Nike, then Nike put out the ad with Colin Kaepernick so I went and bought New Balance instead, they’re idiots.
Todays feminists are far more toxically masculine than millenial soi bois now days.
Can’t remember the last time I have purchased Gillette products. I use Harry’s for blades. What a marketing strategy to insult your target audience.
I quit using them many years ago due to their pushing gun control.
I did run into a huge discount and bought some just because it was a steal. Not bad razors but will not resupply when these are gone.
Schick.
I agree. A single blade does wonders. I also like shavettes which are basically straight razors with disposable blades: no honing or stropping necessary.
This is why I use Schick shavers.
Never!
I like Schick
Thanks. It’s funny speaking of Gillette, I got the Gillete5 last year and I needed refills and saw a box of them cost $40 bucks for just 12 so I said to my girlfriend who was with me, forget it, too much and this guy standing next to us mentioned dollar save club, he said the same thing, they don’t force you to buy. I’m definitely signing up now, thanks!
Guess Gillette employs feminists and homosexual men to write their ads now. All men should grow beards this year in response to this insult.
Except I hate have to shave slowly with a old-style safety razor. I now use the Supply brand injector blade single blade razor with great results. I really like them because injector razors use stronger blades that last way longer than safety razor blades.
What’s a razor?
Full beard since ‘78
Occasionally use clippers
They are getting lambasted on their Twitter feed.

Single blade safety razor - bought 100 replacement blades for less than 20 bucks. Or I could have doubled that twenty to buy a ten pack of P&G dopey 6-blades at a time crapola. Keep your gadgets, soyboys!
Gillette has introduced an ad that could shave profits.
Lets see what the virtue signaling strategy does to PGs stock price.
I understand that their next ad will deal with women, like Nancy Pelosi, who have had so many facelifts, that they’re now having to shave their chins!
