You completely miss the point.... The lack of a father in their home isn’t to offer sympathy or empathy to them, but to point out exactly what one of the core problems... But take it as you will

If you have to know right now, you can go through them - even though as I told all violent mobs - irrespective of age & gender - can cause death or serious bodily injury.
Mean while show me where the guy hit the girl ON THE VIDEO before she shove him @ the 5:00 second mark.
And you know what else is as completely dishonest as it is possible to be?
Trying - at ANY POINT to frame this as though this had been or could have been an altercation between this man and an individual. People who have even the tiniest fraction of their integrity left someplace inside themselves (however deep down they have pushed it) don't EVER do that.
This was a guy against a mob that had not dispersed even after they no longer faced just the young girl and her mother.There was never a fight against a single other person in this incident.
So I am glad you asked and I am more than happy both to enlighten you and to defend this point. The reason why all the crooks in a robbery are charged in shootings is because once you become a mob you are all guilty of the violence the mob perpetrates. Even if you're young or it's your first time.
And you can take your time to make it more sensible - I have plenty of time.

Now a group of 11 and 12 year old girls has become synonymous with ‘teen mob’, meaning anywhere from 13 to 19 and male and female? That’s similar to a group of 11 and 12 year old girls? Done playing in the mud with you. You can now play with yourself.

I never presented that the child didn’t deserve to be shoved, I was pointing out, I can’t imagine being 11 years old, and being shoved (for whatever reason, deserved or not) by someone 3 times my size and my gut reaction would be to charge them like this little fool girl did.
It was a criticism of the GIRL, and HER UPBRINGING, not the man... Check your anger, and actually read.

It appears when he went out that he put himself in a position to protect a woman and child with their backs against the wall.
It seems by his tweet that they were indeed his family which if true changes the analysis.
If it were my daughter that charged at him like that,
I’d be more pissed off at her for such incredible stupidity than with the guy who was apparently protecting his family.
When you engage in group violence, you take on the consequences of that violence. Child soldiers sadly kill the opposing troops and must be taken out like every other soldier in war. The same holds with mob violence.
It is absolutely dishonest to portray a little thug who was part of a mob attacking two lone females as if she were just some kid when the accosted females defender shows up.
And in this case, the little thug tried to initiate a mob throw down with the father and husband of the original targets.
A lie of omission is as much of a lie as any other lie and the video showed she shoved the guy from behind first, he shoved back, and she charged.
One more thing, if you are in a mob surrounding a couple of shoppers and someone shows up to defend them, every consequence you earn from holding your ground...you earn. I am not buying your crap which at the fundamental core of everything you have posted about this incident tries to make it a given that the interactions with the dad are somehow separate from what the mob was trying to do to the girls.
I hold you fully accountable for that lie, which (upon being advised to reconsider) you are still clinging to.
Verdict: self defense.
Can you site an incident where a pack of 11 year old girls beat to death a 6’5 250+lbs grown adult male?

Took 10 secs to find one example of an older person being beaten by a pack of youths. There was a jogger attacked by a pack of "youths', beaten and raped, in NYC Central Park some time ago. The scenarios are not unheard of.
The question is, why do YOU defend violent youths.
