This guy is a hero, defended his wife and family. When you are surrounded by 10-15 people you need to take the first shot otherwise they can mass attack and then you’re out of luck. This needs to happen a few more times because the flash teen mob gangs are out of control and wilding across this country. Notice how quickly they got out of there when someone punched back.

American society could not survive adopting that system to its streets and malls.
Balled fists and charging at him. . .makes self defense a real thing. And the mob, if he didn’t react forcefully, the mob very likely would have swarmed him. . . I’ve seen that happen and the guy (in his 30’s I guess) was mobbed by a pack of “young ladies” and they knocked him down from relentless attacks from all sides.
This happened in Asheville NC...a liberal haven. Protected groups are protected.
if he was protecting his wife and daughter the Mob could could of been committing a hate crime on his family...If there are other victims in the mall of this group of kids and they are all white this could turn into something very different...years ago in Portland Oregon at a mall I worked at we had a problem with teen age wana be gang members (reality SPOILED RICH KIDS from a mostly black neighborhood that surrounded the mall) they would harass are real costumers shoving, stealing, yelling rude comments. eventually security had a rule if you were under 17 your parents had to be in the mall and no groups of kids walking with out a parent.

Video shows he did shove her away and she immediately went all attack mode and charged at him with balled fists.
The behavior of this pack of dogs reminds me of the novel "Lord of the Flies".........
Bad choice of action on his part but it unfortunately overshadows the behavior of these teenage savages.....

Oh Lord spare me the only worthy fathers/men are perfect garbage.

I wasn’t applying logic in my last post (#153). Logic often has no place in the American legal system.
I was talking reality. And that point system actually applies. If you defend yourself in public, the DA will look at disparity of force when deciding whether or not to charge you.
And in many respects that’s not fair. Because in the heat of the moment, it’s difficult to decide what is enough, and what is too much.
No matter. The DA won’t care. If you - in the DA’s opinion - overreacted, you are going to be charged. And you’ll be spending big bucks to defend yourself, even if you are acquitted.
He responded to a physical assault by a female by pushing and then punching her. Equal rights and women are the same as men and all that...
Why should he walk away when he was assaulted and defended himself? He didn’t “escalate” he responded in kind.
Don’t assault someone bigger, and a man, if you can’t handle being treated the same.
I’ve taught my daughters to defend themselves. Also taught them not to hit a man if they’re not ready to get hit back.
We’re all equal now...no special consideration for females anymore.

A minor can kill me just as easily as a non-minor. Where do you draw the line? I draw the line when I think my life is in danger or the lives of those I love. Nothing else matters to me.
I don’t care what others think on this topic only what I think and if I am threatened in any way I will respond in kind. Then, get a good lawyer because our justice system today is so slanted towards youth, minorities, etc. that the rest of us are screwed. From one extreme to the opposite extreme, neither being justice.
Exactly right. It’s the law of the jungle. And those girls would not have hesitated to beat that cracker to death if he hadn’t shut the melee down like he did.
Of course, that’s will hold no weight in a court of law. He is toast.

We just don’t hear about the homes with only fathers since single mothers are the agenda and get all the government bennies.

You’re a “lawyer” so you should know when the pendulum shifted from blaming mothers/mothers being behind the 8 ball in regard to our justice system, to now fathers being blamed and being behind the 8 ball. It’s been over 40 years.

It’s all ridiculous. Two parents, imperfect as they are, are better than a single parent home regardless of who heads that home.
