The superbug that infected nearly a dozen Americans who recently underwent weight-loss surgery at a Tijuana hospital had
a particularly nasty genetic mutation that set off alarm bells
after patients began showing up in hospitals and doctors officers with painful wounds.(Emphasis mine)
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a travel warning this week, notifying the public
that 11 Americans who traveled to Tijuana hospitals for weight-loss surgery had become infected
with drug-resistant pseudomonus aeruginosa infections during their stays.

Was the pseudomonus bacteria involved in a mutated strain or was it a variation that had metallo-beta lactamase genes which were carried into Mexico from its southern border? That question needs to be answered and not swept under the rug!

If you are into Donkey Shows, Tijuana is the place for you.
Being cut open and having things done inside you? Not unless you were in an auto accident and were going to bleed to death otherwise.

I have a friend who went to Utah. The whole trip was much less than what they charge in Bakersfield.

Its smart to shop around. But within the USA. No other country has our crazy litigious system. I respect doctors and their need to make quick and risk filled decisions, and would never sue. But because I have the ability to sue, I feel it is a protection for my safety.

Nowadays they can put a Balloon in your Stomach under light Anesthesia that accomplishes the same thing as getting your insides cut up with this kind of Surgery.
After you lose the weight, they take out the Balloon. No muss, no fuss.
