A classic, increasingly relevant, tune sung by Ray Stevens.
Jesus looked up...2:10 he said. Everyone understood.
How many people still wear watches these days when they gave a clock on their cell phone? Is an expensive Rolex still desired by many?
I wear a Breitling and ignore the dam phone.
I’ve seen a couple of people wearing watches, but they’re fancy. Directors and such.
I have one, a Sub, I’ve been wearing everyday for 18 years. Still works and has never broke or stopped. Never sent it in to be serviced either!
“Is an expensive Rolex still desired by many?”
It’s a really good question. It’s interesting how technology has changed so many things that were/are considered luxury items. Most average automobiles made today have markedly better safety features, better performance, and luxury items/features that put to shame a Rolls Royce from 40 years ago. Even a cheap phone that sets its time via the network is more accurate than a Rolex.
Does anybody really know what time it is?
I should add i have several high end replica Rolex watches.
These are very nearly perfect copies.
I would never wear a real Rolex.
And i loath carrying my cell phone around as if its a sentient parasite.
Does anybody care?
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
Shall we gather at the river? @realjesuschrist
Same here but 28 years. You have to send them in for new bracelet and such every five to ten years.
How about we check the wrists of all our nation’s religious leaders? Bet will find most that wear watches sporting Rolex or similar. Maybe a stereotype, but I suspect most fleece their flocks.
The One who created time doesn’t need to be told what time it is.
Jesus sailed; therefor a Rolex would not be out of line. I have a GMT stainless steel watch that keeps time to the minute; all the FAA requires of pilots. Handy when I fly in different time zones. Jesus knew some rich folks, in today's world they could afford to give one as a gift.
I stopped wearing a watch when l retired as everyone should.
Better question: would a Precher give way all of his processions away? Thats what I thought.
