Friedman himself is a strong advocate of those changes (globalism), calling himself a "free-trader" and a "compassionate flatist", and he criticizes societies that resist the changes. He emphasizes the inevitability of a rapid pace of change and the extent to which the emerging abilities of individuals and developing countries are creating many pressures on businesses and individuals in the United States; he has special advice for Americans and for the developing world (but says almost nothing about Europe).

That is an old meme, already ran through the pied pier led media groupies: Trump is a mental case. Then he got a psycho evaluation and that was a quick end to it. Friedman must have had high enough hopes to revive it. Sorry, Tom, that ship has sailed. I thought the latest this past week was just a claim of Trump being evil incarnate. I guess that fizzled already, too.
