First Big Bang Theory, now Criminal Minds. That leaves Law & Order SVU, Grey's Anatomy and NCIS as the longest running shows.

If you do not count 60 Minutes, Meet the Press, The Simpsons and daytime soaps.

Good TV shows have a lifespan of 3-5 years (there are exceptions) , then they deteriorate from there. The characters become more important than the premise of the show.
This show was a case in point, it was interesting for a few seasons, then first the cases became increasingly shocking, followed by too much focus on the personal aspects of the characters.
we stopped watching years ago and to be honest I did not know it was still on the air.

I gave up on CM several seasons ago. Each case seemed to try to be more grotesque than the previous case.
And the Emily Prentiss, Secret Agent, who got killed and came back didn’t help.

Don’t worry. The longest running show of “criminal minds” is the US Congress and its still going strong. Also, it should now have a spin-off show entitled “Insane Minds: The US Congress in 2019”.
Take two Prozac and call your Congressthing in the morning.

Fifteen seasons and I’ve never watched a single episode.
That would have been unthinkable in my youth.
