Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos said that he will divorce his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Bezos, in a tweet on Wednesday.
"As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends," the couple wrote in the statement.
"If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again," it continued.

You have that right. Heres whats odd too. I just read an article not very long ago about what a good marriage they had and how they made a point every week to have date night. Why is it those people who always brag to the world about how solid they are end up calling it quits.

If you've been married 7 years, alimony NEVER goes away.
Funny how that always seems to be the case in states that have the largest number of Feminists insisting that women should "go out and roar".
Apparently that does not include earning your own living. Florida was on the verge of doing away with alimony when Feminists suddenly decided that they were totally behind stay-at-home moms. They scared Rick Scott into a veto (one of the reasons I will always worry about his jelly-spine in the Senate).

Did a search and this is what I found.
Net worth $137 billion (January 2019)
Now divide by two and he is still very rich....

I was just thinking that very thing, although you phrased it much better than what I had in mind.

OK, hows that going to work out for the $100 Billion man? Most of his wealth come from ownership of Amazon stocks. So put half the stock in her name. Or....if it's deemed not viable to have him and the ex both with large equity interests, sell that much (gradually) and settle it in cash.

I see. So how long does she have to keep doing the things she did for the marriage?

Well, maybe losing half his money will make him less willing to throw it around in support of leftist causes.

I am also alone in my golden years but there are times I truly wish I had someone to share things with!!! I am very happy BUT having a special someone to share things with would be better!!! I dont have children so that makes a huge difference when you are older and single!!!!
