At a company-wide town hall in early October, numerous Facebook employees got in line to speak about their experiences with sexual harassment.
The company called the special town hall after head of policy Joel Kaplan caused an internal uproar for appearing at the congressional hearing for Judge Brett Kavanaugh. A young female employee was among those who got up to speak, addressing her comments directly to COO Sheryl Sandberg.
"I was reticent to speak, Sheryl, because the pressure for us to act as though everything is fine and that we love working here is so great that it hurts," she said, according to multiple former Facebook employees who witnessed the event.

Sounds like a poor management climate that will ultimately hurt the company. Of course, when you’re the 500 lb gorilla of social media, you can ignore stuff like that, at your own peril, for a long time.

It’s that way at many large corporations. I worked at a Fortune 70 and there were lots of strangeness afoot. You could ignore it if you didn’t want to move up(I didn’t) and it could even be entertaining.
When the Clarence Thomas hearings happened, we all got mandatory training on Sexual Harassment. When Bill Clinton got elected, that training ended and the bigwigs started hiring babes as admins.

Sounds pretty much like the large corporation I used to work at. Probably the same at most of them.
Most corporations are dark and creepy cults the more they make money up the S & P.

I don’t miss the new corporate world at all.
It’s a shame what Silicon Valley has turned into.. used to be full of fruit and nuts of agricultural origins.
Now the fruits and nuts have been replaced by plots full of imported ‘fruits and nuts’ mining your personal lives&data for ways to sell you on crap ya don’t need or have room for anyway.
Kudos to the gal who spoke at that town hall.
