You might have thought it was the most innocuous item someone could wear: a simple black T-shirt bearing the dictionary definition of woman as ‘human female’.
But a young mother has been barred from her local pub after a complaint that the words discriminated against transgender people.
The unlikely new front line of the ongoing war between feminists and transgender campaigners is the snug Five Clouds Tap and Bottle in the historic market town of Macclesfield.
Rebekah Wershbale said she was ‘stunned’ when a barwoman at the pub informed her she was banned because of the definition.
Ms Wershbale said: ‘She told me that the T-shirt I was wearing was upsetting people because it was transphobic and not inclusive so I was barred. What she meant was that I was somehow offending men who say they are women because my T-shirt did not include them in the definition of a woman. There aren’t even any transgender staff or patrons at the pub. It’s crackers.’
Ms Wershbale is a supporter of feminist group Fair Play For Women, which opposed a Government’s consultation to reform the Gender Recognition Act (GRA).
This proposed legal change would allow people to self-identify as the gender they believe they are without any medical diagnosis. Feminists and transgender campaigners have been locked in an increasingly heated battle with leading feminists fearing the change will harm the safety and privacy of women.
Ms Wershbale, a mother-of-one, had gone last Sunday with her girlfriend to play board games at the pub where she has been a regular for three years.

We haven’t even gotten to the transspeciesists complaining about using human in the definition.

Definitely. Case in point--the AT&T commercial with two gay men and the female babysitter. Normally commercials have men as stupid and women as smart, but in this case the babysitter was portrayed as clueless and the men, presumably in a same-sex "marriage," were portrayed as sensible and normal.

The concept of wanting acceptance by creating more hatred of their cause is just bewildering.
Can’t they see that what they do causes folks to hate them even more? Keep kicking that dog and it’s going to eventually bite you back.
They won’t stay there. They have made it a life goal to go screw with everyone they can on purpose. “Live and let live” is not in their vocabulary. They will come take over ALL the bars with intent.
I used to frequent a bar along the waterfront that was a hangout for commercial fishmen and clam diggers. There were no openly gay or tranny’s there. They wouldn’t survive there.
There are a number of places in these United States that are still that way. There is no legal cases because none of them would stay there long enough to try to fit in there. The entire bar would stare them down and out the door without a word of discussion.
They remind me of a web forum I used to be a member of. In the evenings all the drunks would show up and raise hell. Several finally asked that a separate forum be created to send them to so they could not bother anyone in the main forum.
So they did, and it worked. But guess where all those who were complaining were to now be found? Not in the main forum anymore, They were over imposing themselves on the drunk forum complaining about too many drunks being there. lol
This is what the gays do and it makes no sense at all.
I don’t think you get it. A gay phalanx entering this bar would be outside on there asses bleeding and with broken noses and perhaps bones. No one would be able to tell the cops who did it and the cops wouldn’t spend any time checking into it.
This might not be the case in middle to upper middle class neighborhoods. This is not one of those.
I understood. I have seen cultural areas like this too. I was just continuing with my bewilderment about their psychological behavior that harms their own cause. If they truly want to be accepted, this they need to stop first or EVERY demographic is going to be like the ones you describe.
